What happens when you've played one too many games.

So I didn't think I'd ever find someone who could out perform the guest who claimed to be Aaliyah in a letter to Governor Schwarzenegger when it comes to being crazy... but tonight I think I met her match.

This guy comes to the hotel desk. I greet him and ask how I can help him. He replies "Do you have a tutorial?".
As a gamer myself I was a little surprised to be asked this. I figured maybe he meant he wanted a brochure for the hotel and just used the wrong word. I politely asked him to clarify or rephrase. His answer was a bit... well... odd.

"Well you know like in Resident Evil how Nemisis has a collar that controls him and he has to hunt down Stars members? Well I need something like that because we're all going to be exterminated if I don't succeed in finding it"

I blinked. I kinda glanced around hoping to maybe find a hidden camera. But then I started to notice the unwashed smell drifting off this guy and realized I think we had quite a case of looney tunes here. He wasn't dressed like a drifter, and had no bags or packs with him. In fact he was wearing a very distinct piece of jewelery in the shape of a golden owl with gem eyes. I figured that maybe this guy was tripping on something and had wandered away from somewhere. He seemed kinda young (20ish) so I calmly asked him a couple of questions that I hoped might lead me to finding someone who could come and pick him up. He gave me a local number, but there was no answer. And when I asked his name he replied
"Von! Hahahaha. Nah just kidding. *mumble mumble something incoherent*

I decided that I might as well call the police, and gave them a rang. "Von" kept busy by having a conversation with himself. While I was on hold with the police dispatch line I politely asked him if he wanted to have an officer pick him up. He said "No. I'd rather not". I then told him that he'd have to leave the property if he didn't want to have the police involved.

He then called me a "Cheater" and left.

Sounds like he's at about the right age to develop schizophrenia. Doesn't mean that is what it is but I wouldn't be surprised if this was more than just a case of too many games.

he'd come back more often to play because he found a kindred spirit. And then you'd really have to get the police involved because it would go from 'amusing situation' to 'annoying security risk'.
