what movie to watch?

Ok, so it's 50 cent Tuesdays at the dollar theater and I think I might treat myself. The problem is, I don't know what to see.


Contender 1: Book of Eli. I wanted to see this one, but after reading some reviews I'm not so sure. It's got a 45% on rotten tomatoes, and apparently it's really religiously? I dunno, it might be good.


Contender 2: Avatar. Now, I have no interest in seeing this movie. Everything I've heard or seen about it makes it look like it's the most god awful piece of shit to ever be over hyped. I mean they do shit with their pony tails, and the marines are after unobtainium and OH MY GOD I WANT TO KILL SOMETHING ALREADY. But on the other hand there are people who I guess want to kill themselves because the movie is so awesome and they won't ever live on the alien planet?


So there you go. Decide the impossible for me.

I haven't seen Book of Eli, but my roommate and noted halforums poster The Lovely Boner said it was pretty okay.

I really didn't like Avatar, but if you're going to see it at all, ever, see it in the theater.

Avatar can only be watched one of two ways:

Theatre 3-D or Home BLU-RAY 120hz min.

If you can't achieve either of those, Book of Eli, it was fantastic. Basically "Fallout 3: The Movie"

I'll add that I can neither confirm nor deny that Avatar will be in 3D. It is not advertised as such so I'd assume it's not.

But our local dollar theater just got Sherlock Holmes so I'd see that.

It may have STARTED that way, but it quickly turned into... ugh, I dunno, stupid, inane, religious blabbering. With that chick from that 70s show.

If Sherlock holmes were here I'd probably see that. The 3rd movie playing is Valentines day.

I can't remember if SH just left it or not. Maybe it's coming out soon there. My mind, she's no good to me sometimes.
