Lets get this bad boy going! We got a good game up here at the dome this week, number 10 Florida comes to town. I think I may just have to head to the game. What are folks thinkingof this years teams so far?

I'm thinking Iowa is continuing their losing ways.

NC State is sitting at 5-2 so far. New coach this year, and I hear murmurs of us doing well this year. No ACC matchups yet though.
I should probably try and follow basketball more.

Well, I would say Cuse's first big game is going to be tomorrows FLA game. I cannot wait for the Big East to get going this year. going to be a hell of a season.

Mizzou has been surprisingly good. We changed coaches during the offseason, and our best player tore his ACL before the season started. Thankfully the rest of the team has more than stepped up and we beat notre dame by almost 30 and #19 (at the time) cal by almost 40, of course also beating all the cupcake teams we played.

Woot, moved up to #3 after the win friday and the insane weekend of basketball!

Mizzou now in the top 10, but our only game last week was Northwestern State so its more like others did worse than we did well. Villanova tomorrow should be a good test though.
And just in time for their first non-conference road game in three years!
(Not that Syracuse isn't good and deserving of #1, but that's just something that bothers me about Syracuse in particular, that they never leave the state in non-conference play)

Blah blah.

My alma mater (feels good to say that) NC State beat Wake Forest 76-40 this past Saturday. 2-1 in the ACC, 13-5 Overall.

Lets go OOOORRRRAAAANGE!!!

Beat the third ranked team in the country on the road. Coupled with Syracuse and Duke losing, and we might get some first place votes.
Pretty good saturday.
#17
Shannow
Well, that and all the hate Syracuse gets in the voting.
#18
blotsfan
You got literally every first place vote in the coaches poll last week. A ton of hate there.

Took them fucking long enough to do it, though, and you know it. Added at: 23:38
Kentucky will most likely be number 1 tomorrow

That Mizzou-Kansas game might have been the best sporting event I've ever attended. Great game, exciting finish, Mizzou won, and it was loud as all hell.

With Fab Melo back in the lineup, SU is back on track. Yesterdays routing of St Johns was fantastic.

Peace out Big 12.

I have the bracket software ready to go, I'm just waiting for the selections to be made.

And WVU gets essentially 2 home games if they beat Gonzaga on Thursday.
Well, Mizzou didnt even make it past the first round. BAM
#35

That was one of the worst things I've ever seen.

Dave
Yup. Bracket? Busted.

What a shit day. Yesterday I was 14-2, today my bracket is destroyed and Michigan gets upset by Ohio.
I'm going to go cry myself to death. I mean...sleep. Whatever.
#38
Dave
I think it's happened to all of us. I lost the team I said would win it all.

It was more the UM loss than the bracket. Michigan and OSU have a terrible hate/hate relationship, and with this loss to a "lesser" Ohio school, I'm sure fans will never hear the end of it.
Mmmm yes, I agree. College students CAN be stupid sometimes
You do realize this now gives a better-than-average chance for the Cowboys to win the Super Bowl now.

NM - my bad. Upon further review the usual order of events in a calendar year has been:
Cowboys win Super Bowl > UK wins NCAA Championship > Yankees win World Series
So at least maybe Yankee fans have something to feel good about... (ewwwww /shudder )
#44
Dave
Cowboys haven't won a Superbowl since the 90's and have only won one playoff game since 1996.

Until tonight UK had won 3 championships in the Super Bowl era.
1978 - Cowboys won SB XII, Yankees won WS
1996 - Cowboys won SB XXX, Yankees won WS
1998 - Broncos won SB XXXII, Yankees won WS
Yes I know the Cowboys have won other Super Bowls. Of course all 4 NCAA for UK have also come with a democrat in the White House, the previous 3 were southern democrats.
