What shows do you love too much to watch?

So I have a show I like called Caprica, apparently Randy Milholland does as well. We're scared to watch it, because if it's good the network will take it away from us for liking TV. (Bad viewer! enjoy commercials, not shows! Silly silly viewer.) So we twist in this half life, of not watching a show that seems great for fear of making eye contact we'll spook it and it'll run off forever, like that cute girl in 11th grade.

We've all had shows that we liked that have died horrible horrible deaths, or live on in some twisted zombified form. Which shows are yours, or do you not have this affliction?

Comic itself is at this Something Positive.

Here are some of mine, Quark, Dead Like Me, Firefly, Moonlighting, Night Stalker (Mid 70's version with Darren McGavin and that cool mustang), Greatest American Hero, Enterprise (I so wanted to love you dammit!!!). So throw down with the Bawwwww. :pop2:

I love crime dramas like The Sopranos, The Shield and The Wire. They generally have an ending, so that's nice.

Is called the Firefly Effect, I have experiencing it since what I like to call the "Great Cancellation of Early 2000's" that claimed Buffy, Angel, Darkangel, Dead Like Me and alike.

I think the only show that I watch regularly now is Glee, and I am VERY afraid for it too.

Glee seems to be huge though, I wouldn't worry about it. Unlike Firefly it has the network behind it.

Not watching a show because you're afraid it's going to get canceled is specious thinking at best. Go watch the shows you like! Tis' better to have loved and lost.

Heroes first season was huge too, and then it came the season-finale-that-should-not-be-named, Glee first season still isn't finished

Yes but Heroes sucked and Glee is good.[/QUOTE]

Heroes was promising and exciting until that episode, it wasn't perfect, but it was enjoyable.

My fear is that glee turn out like that, it is great, awesome and everything, but it has its flaws *cough*pregnancy plot*cough*

also, there is the possibility that the writters won't manage to keep it up. =(

We will have to agree to disagree.

I'm over 40, I don't have a fraction of a point, unless I invite teenage girls over, and if I do that I'm paying them too much to watch TV.

The Knights of Prosperity was a bleeding riot. 'Twas a crying shame that got cancelled.

I would say Firefly for me. I also wish Justice League wouldn't have ended as well. That was an awesome show.
Enterpise I didn't want to end and it seemed to get better on except for the temporarl time war stuff. Those damn
self righteous bloody vulcans.

never got into pushing daisies. It was obvious it would get canned.

I wish those mofos had not cancelled jericho tho.

Heroes is getting back on track, after a good season this year. Not a great season, but a good one. However, it does seem like the writers are really ham-stringed with their budget... they can't make the climatic battles exciting because they don't have the cash to do the special effects for them. So we get the "fight-behind-the-doors" scene of last season and the DBZ-inspired "Earth Power Struggle" of this season. It honestly seems like the best way to end next season is to have HRG just fucking blow some guy's brains out. They'd have the budget for that at least!

I liked both Firefly and Justice League, but man, I have to disagree on Enterprise. It pretty much killed Star Trek as a TV franchise with it's constant awful-ness.

I liked Enterprise for its realism. I liked that the captain made poor decisions instead of coming across as a god in every situation. I like that the ship looked like a ship, and that every alien culture wasn't homogenized, despite the fact that earth still retained its ethnicities.

*Shrug* It's been really solid so far, great plot points, and I loved what they did with the New Cap City, Tamara is getting it under control. Heck even my boss is watching now, and he only ever had talked sports in the office before.

So yah I expect each episode to be the last as syfy reaches into whatever ass it pulled wrasslin out of to plop on the table as it's new baby. Roller Derby maybe.

What do you not like about it Reboneer?

Little of both. Davan (the guy in glasses) is dating Vanessa (the girl with brown hair), his best friend Peejee (Pink hair) is very protective of him, especially since he seems to always seem to "stick it in the crazy" (quote from another strip) as Davan put it himself. One girl he dated in fact wound up getting arrested after breaking up with him for having lewd conduct with a Koala as I recall.
