I would sometimes do that in the snow though not quite on such a huge scale as that guy. The best was when I made a huge smiley face next to the path i made to get across the intramural fields. No one destroyed it outright like I thought they would instead first someone put angry eyebrows on. Then the next day horns, next a goatee, then a vampire mouth and it was hilarious seeing something new added on each day.
