Who'd you cast?

I was looking for the proper place to post this (the random crap thread??), but I thought it might be fun to discuss casting/dream casts for movies in general.

So, the whole point of this is because I wanted to say that, after watching Haywire, if Gina Carano is not cast as Wonder Woman (if I WW movie ever gets made) I'll be very disappointed. No one else has even come close to being able to actually physically be Wonder Woman. Just sayin.

And this gif alone makes me in favor of Richard Armitage for Nathan Drake (besides the fact that I just love Richard in general), if an Uncharted movie were to ever be made.

If we get another Batman movie in the future, I think Steve Buscemi would make a great Mad Hatter.

I like doing this. A favorite sports / pop culture writer did a really amazing casting for a remake of Cheers with Vince Vaughn as Sam Malone, with it set in Chicago instead of Boston.

*Points fingure up in attempt to disagree* Actually I could totally see that.

Tim Correy to replace the new schmuck on Transformer's Prime. No offense to the new actor, but he don't really cut it like Correy can.

Jim Cummings to play King Pin. The Robotnik voice would be AWESOME for King Pin.

Do you mean Tim Curry or is there an voice actor named Tim Correy that I'm unaware of? And which schmuck are you referring to?

Tim Correy is the original voice of Shockwave from Transformers, as well as playing Megatron in "Transformers Animated"(great show, but worst name EVER). I just prefer Correy's more smooth voice to the new guys kinda gruff voice.

I hear Matthew Broderick is doing it, and instead of Italians they're all JEWS. YOU'RE TAKING THIS ROLE!

Heh Louie, but seriously I got no idea.

Michael Fassbender as Sonny Corleone, Jesse Eisenberg as Michael Corleone, I'm really blanking on who could Don Corleone. Carey Mulligan or Amy Adams for ... god, blanking on Michael's Wife's name. The Diane Keaton role.

Also blanking on Fredo.

Don Corleone can only be played by Robert DeNiro.

That's too on the nose! Plus it's a remake, not a sequel.

Fuck, casting Don Corleone would be insanely difficult.

I'd go easy mode and just see if Daniel Day Lewis could pull it off since he's pretty much the living embodiment of acting.

As much as I like Fassbender (which is a lot), he kind of sucks at hiding that Irish accent.

If there's ever a movie version of Wicked, and Lea Michele isn't cast as Elphaba, I shall be very disappointed.

Ditto. I've yet to sit down and watch them. At this point, I'm kind of intimidated to try, given the hype of them being ZOMG LIKE THE BEST MOVIES EVER.

Also, I'd love to see Quentin Tarantino do the remake of Citizen Kane he'd joked about before. He said that if he did, he'd change the reveal of Rosebud to be

the nickname Kane gave to his wife's pussy. Tarantino's words, not mine.

Also, speaking of Orson Welles, a friend of mine had a brilliant idea for a movie that I'd love to see. Apparently, back in the 40s, there was a rumour going around that he was going to do a Batman film. I don't know how much weight the rumour has, but my friend thought it'd be fun to do a movie in the style of Shadow of the Vampire (really awesome meta-movie where we see a behind-the-scenes take on the vampire classic, Nosferatu, wherein the actor cast as the vampire is a real vampire). It'd show Orson Welles actually trying to film the Batman film. My friend is a huge movie buff so he was just having fun casting different Batman characters using 40s actors and actresses.

I'd like to see Bruce Campbell play the entire Justice League. Including Wonder Woman.

Will Arnett to play The Riddler when they make Batman movies again in the next couple decades.

It IS rather scary when the inevitable porn parody ends up having better casting/costume than the 'official' stuff.

I feel like the name of this porno needs to be revealed.

You know... for science.

I honestly don't know the name of the porno. The article just popped up on Gawker or Gizmodo or something and I remembered it.
You can "research" it further on your own, though. You could start here.

The guy playing Shockwave. Nothing against the new guy, I just prefer Shockwave to have a more dignified loyal voice rather than the gruff robotic voice he has now. I get it that apparently he was originally MEANT to be some gruff powerhouse character, but to me the image of Shockwave is of some cool loyal British dude.
