people sweat. I usually wipe my cosplay make up all the time (hence I avoid any costume that requires makeup unless my wife REALLY REALLY REALLY wants me to be in one)
So.... upto 150$ a day huh? why not just wear a scarf or a shirt with turtle neck type covering? or a high collar that button up (thus covering the neck)
