November 2nd we are having our podcast. The topic will be Windows 7. I REALLY need some people to step up and volunteer to help out. I'm going to be asking a lot of questions about it because I've never experienced it yet.

So if you are a SME, let me know and I'll make sure you are a guest.

I've had a bit of experience with win7 since the RC dropped around May/June. Since then. I've run the RC on three laptops (one a mac with bootcamp) and my home PC, as well as purchased the three pack home version and installed a copy on my home PC and my tablet PC, upgrading from the RC and XP Pro respectivley.

I've put alot of it through its paces, but I haven't done anything that would require a copy above home premium (which is why I went with home premium) as at home I really have no need for domain joining, XP virtualization (which I did see at a trade show a few months back and it looked BEAUTIFUL,) etc. I am Microsoft Certified, though (in XP and server 2003) so I know the basics of how most of it should work/has worked in the past.

If you'd like my input, let me know.

Hah, I stumbled upon that when one of my former co-workers invited me to one of them. Knowing that, I'm sure it would have been nothing like that, more than likely due to copious amounts of alcohol.

I'm picking up my new computer with Windows 7 Monday morning (I was supposed to have it yesterday ), and I have a bunch of stuff to do Monday and Tuesday, but I can be "the new user searching around it" if you're looking for something like that. Otherwise, I have no experience with 7.

That, and the roomate moves in today, so i will be helping him get his stuff in and then we are re-arranging everything for the main rooms etc. over next few days.

Firk ding BLAST!! The wife wants to go shopping for food tonight so I'm stuck going to Wal*Mart to fight through the crowds hunting for sustenance. Much like the nomads of old I shall scout out my territory, stake my claim and roar my challenges to anyone who comes near my chosen targets.

It might embarrass my wife but it'll scare the shit out of someone reaching for a bag of Funyuns.

Do they sell Windows 7 at Wal-Mart? If so, ask a salesperson in that department about it. Maybe you'll get some podcast discussion fodder.

The only computer I want to put 7 on has been overrun by vermin that we haven't been able to eradicate yet.
