And because of that she gets openly harassed by multiple cops in multiple agencies... Wow...

Can't say I'm surprised. I'll bet they were pissed she pulled him over instead of just letting him go.

The url text is correct, but the hyperlink seems to be broken

edit: and it seems to be the board's auto-url maker that's breaking it.

Fla. trooper who stopped cop sues after harassment[DOUBLEPOST=1392140379,1392140193][/DOUBLEPOST]1 reason to trust cops, 89+ reasons to be wary of them.

*sigh* I'm glad the officers I've known personally have been very nice people. Then again, I'm a suburban white boy with a reputation for being a goody two-shoes. I just don't know how to feel about stuff like this.

I've had training in one of the DL systems. YOU CAN NOT LOOK UP SOMEBODY'S DRIVERS LICENSE INFO JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE CURIOUS!

People of [group with power] [form of abuse] [someone who confronted member of said group].

I find it saddening every time I see a headline like that, but it's starting not to surprise me anymore. Be it politicians, police personnel, soldiers, priests, educators, teachers,... If you're in a group with power/authority, and someone in your group abuses that authority, you get rid of the abuser, in a clear, transparent, open way, making it clear you don't tolerate any abuse or misuse. Trying to cover up is doomed to failure, certainly in these days, and will only further reduce the people's trust in your group.
