WoW: What World of Warcraft races do you hate and why?

I can't stand the Goblins. I thought with Cata that I'd like a class similar in size to the Gnomes, but I just loathe Goblins. They're goofy, but not in the fun way like Gnomes. Gnomes are innocently stupid; Goblins are greedy sneaky bastards. Close second is the Undead. It's not the race, more so the atmosphere. I hate all the macabre stuff associated with the Undead.

Not a fan of blood elves. I never really knew why they were with the horde, or why they insist on being called blood elves after being high elves for so long.

The accents on the drenai are kind of annoying too, unless it's a death knight.

I hate the Tauren. Not for any reason, but when I play them they just...feel slower. I know in my head they are moving at the same speed, but they just seem so damned slow! And when they DO get a mount it's too big to fit in some places.

Second worst for me are the Gnomes. They just annoy me.

Stopped playing before Wrath, so my hatred is a bit dated.

Blood elves: annoying as hell, pretty boys and Paris Hilton clones that just don't fly with me.
Gnomes: Just freaking terrible-looking, kinda like bobblehead dolls come to life.
Undead: Yes, we know you're dead! But can you please stop acting like cleaning is beneath you?! Also, the whole "Hee hee hee, we gonna keel evri 1 w/sekrit poison" thingie... Gah.

Personal favourites: dwarf, Tauren, troll.

I don't really "hate" any of them.

I don't like playing the Tauren for the same reason Dave mentions, I just feel so slow. Even with that in mind I have two 80+ Taurens, which surprises me since my second favorite race is Trolls, and I only got one of them! (I blame them not having Troll Druids earlier)

I don't like the drenai. At all. I might have missed the memo but I can see how every other race fits into the lands of Azeroth, and then we have the aliens.

... fucking aliens.

For the record, I think female goblins rule due to their voice sounding exactly like Harley Quinn in Batman: The Animated Adventures.

Hate race? Easy. Worgen.
Male = Horrid animations, horrible emotes, horrible graphic, completely out of place.
Female = Chihuahua Face + everything above.

See I think the Worgen kick ass. They're one of the new races that truly belongs in the Alliance. I don't know where you're getting that the graphics on the Worgen suck. They're probably the best done out of all the races.

I forgot to mention my Dren hate too. It's a combination of space-goats and their starting area. It sucks. Blood Myst is completely red and the other area is all purple. I hate the Exodar - easily the WORST alliance "city". I hate the art style of anything associated with Dren. Too many purple crystals.

As far as the races I love: Gnomes, Worgen, Orcs, and Tauren. The Gnomes are hands down my favorite because of their size (I actually wish they were smaller), and the whole engineering and science aspect of their culture. I figure if I'm going to play an MMO, I'm going to play the race that's the goofiest. If only I could score an El Pollo Grande mount for free or in game - my gnome mage would be complete.

Speaking of mages, what are ya'lls favorite classes?

Obviously mine is mage. Actually the reason I have so few alts is because I nailed it on the head the first time around playing WoW. Gnome mage is my ideal class. I'm not really crazy about any other class, but Warriors are pretty fun to play. It's been hard adjusting to not having a million portals though.

Of course as far as races go, if Blizzard ever pulls its head out of its ass and introduces Pandarians... all bets are off. I'd give my left nut to be a Druken Shaolin Panda Brewmaster. 1000X better than fucking space-goats.

I like playing Dwarves. They have the best jokes, but I hate the dance. All the Brewfest/Beer culture, and Exploring/Archaeology/History that they are involved in makes the race a big bonus for me.

I play hunters almost exclusively. I've played physical ranged classes in all the RPG's that I've ever played.

Engineering is a great profession. With parachutes, rocket boosts, flying machines and engineering portals it is hard for me to imagine playing the game with out those. Just too bad I can't make money from engineering.

Yep, opinions are awesome like that.

My personal favorites are Draenei, least favorite Worgen. I think Draenei are the most well thoughout (although retconned into the world) and best animated class in the game. Where Worgen felt more like a last minute decision.

Still, Alliance for life -wink-

"Favorite Class: Paladin"

I know my avatar is a Druid, but that's because it's what I played for the longest time due to necessity. Now that I'm not a "hard core end game raider" I can go back to my favorite class and enjoy myself. I've played every class to 80 and almost every one to 85 and nothing touches the versatility and fun I have on my Paladin.

My favorite class is a Rogue but it's very hard to run with one after reaching max level because most groups don't use them right. So instead of my being able to use my sneak abilities and things like sap I have to stay out of stealth to keep up with them as they run ahead. This takes away some of my best burst attacks like ambush and ensures that I can't do the amount of DPS that I should be able to do. Groups that are more careful and use things like sap/sheep are perfect for me. And don't get me started on their worthlessness is BGs now.

My second favorite is a Prot Warrior. They used to be unable to solo with but holy crap are they fun to play! They can't PvP worth a shit but they can solo and run instances like a monster.

And I'm just now leveling a Ret Paladin and I like it. I've gotten to Outlands in like 6 days, getting 10 levels a day average. Probably slow down a lot now because of time constraints. This guy has not done any PvP or instances so I have no idea how he'll do there yet.

My least favorite are Mages due to their squishiness and Priests due to the fact that I can't keep an eye on enough people to be an effective healer.

Dranei win because of the needless fluff rape, and all for making them prettier and related to the Eredar... why couldn't they just use the Broken model and just make it better proportioned?! And make the Eredar be an off shot of the Dranei that left Draenor way before Sargeras went nuts... they could have even make it so that only the Eredar knew that when the Legion put it's sights on Draenor and chose the Orcs, and it's still somewhat of a secret...

Broken are the ones in the middle:

I love mashing non-stereotypical classes/races together. I love my Gnome Prot Warrior (Gnoliath). Also, my Undead Holy Priest (Indeadhands).

Really wish we would have had that for Draenei. I mean we already can have Death Knights, why didn't we get Warlocks?

I'm going to second the "Worgen graphics are horrendous" notion. I can't stand them either. Running Wild is the biggest offender to me, followed by any Worgen wearing plate.

Worgen wearing plate pales in comparison to them wearing robes/cloth.

This thread has reminded me of my Draenei love, I have a Male Draenei Mage, Shaman, Death Knight and Female Draenei Shaman all at 80+. I have no idea why my Paladin is Human, I'm race changing him soon as I get out of work. -grin- Then again, "Every Man For Himself" is pretty useful....

Never liked the Undead, thought they were boring. Also, at least pre-Cata, couldn't stand most of the Horde starting areas.

While I agree that Worgen in plate look ridiculous, I like everything else about them. While I want a Dran pally, I can't be asked to pay to race-change my human pally, who I made in honor of my Diablo 2 pally.

Also, I agree, if Orcs can still have warlocks and fight for the Horde, then the Dran should be able to as well. If you can accept, "Thrall reluctantly agreed that having soldiers familiar with demonic powers would be an asset" as logic, than the Dran should have been making warlocks for a long, long time as they're supposed to be an extremely pragmatic race.
