My Xbox's network card is dead... it just won't recognize my modem anymore, apparently it's a hardware failure so I have to wait a few days for Microsoft to begin the guarantee process (sending me the box to ship the console back to them etc)...
Yesterday I was at a friend's and, like I've done dozens of times before, I recovered my gamertag on HIS console so I'd get the achievements for our Beatles Rock Band session and what not.
But now I'm at home, with a loaned copy of Batman Arkham Asylum with a console that CAN'T get online... it'll load up my gamertag from the hard drive in an "offline" fashion, ie, it won't yet see the achievements I made from yesterday's B:RB session, nor the awesome shirt I put on my avatar (thanks to ZenLady)...
my question is... if I play Batman offline, and get any achievements.. when the time comes that I can once again recover my gamertag, won't there be conflict with the "pending" achievements I got offline and the "pending" achievements my hard drive hasn't seen that I got from my friend's console?
...am I even making sense?

You'd probably lose those achievments.

Xbox Live, in attempting to reconcile the paradox, will gain sentience and grow into Skynet. Please be careful, Calleja.
