We already have a "Good Cosplay Thread"... but what about our own crappy cosplaying attempts? (Ok, maybe some of you DO dress up in nice costumes, but still...)

Let's showcase our own costuming efforts!

This is me dressed up as a Ghostbuster:

This is me at the same party, with Marty McFly and Duffman!

And the year before, I improvised a Gill Grissom costume I only have this picture of):

Hey with my computer reformatted I was finally able to start a flickr account, so now this is a thread I can partake in!
These are both from Fan Expo 2009, just a few weeks ago.
I'm Wolvie. Rogue and Cyclops are friends of mine. She Hulk and Mystique were just people who wanted to take their picture with us:

This is my rommmate, but I put the costume together (The Ghostbuster, not Lord Vader):

Me, the year I turned 21

in 2003, playing at the Texas Renaissance Festival.

Closeup of that one.

Some other ren-faire pic..don't remember the year.

Me as Luigi:

I've also cosplayed Snape (Harry Potter) and Roy (Order of the Stick) but I don't have any (good) pictures of those. I'll be the Black Knight from Monty Python's Holy Grail in a few weeks.

hehe, women seem to love a huge manly 'stache. I've never had so much attention from girls as that day when I cosplayed Luigi.

I don't have anything done at the moment but I have been working on a Steampunk costume on and off for the past 6 months or so. I still have quite a bit to finish though. Sadly finances is holding me back on several pieces. But when I do get it all taken care of I will be sure to post some pics. But in the mean time here are some pics of some of the accessories I have been working on for the outfit.

(I have since added a pressure gauge to the gun but sadly I don't have a new pic of it)

Ninja versus Pirates!

I'm dressed up as Dr. McNinja, my buds Jared and Joe are dressed up as Luffy and Zorro, and those are three girls we met in Japan who were studying abroad in the area.

Does it count if I cosplay as a historical person? Two years ago, I was Søren Kierkegaard for Halloween. Unfortunately I do not have the same structure, had a shit complexion, and not nearly enough time for impressive sideburns.

That, and only one person knew who I was, even when I wore a name tag that said "Hello, my name is Søren Kierkegaard" and carried around the first ten pages of Fear and Trembling.

Eventually I just took off my name tag, ditched the paper 'manuscript,' and told people I was Mister Darcy.

I admit, I've never made a costume of my own (mainly because I suck at it ;) )... but as an actor at the Medieval Market of Turku, I've worn a variety of costumes over the years. I'll post some later on, once I get back from my buddy's engagement party.

This isn't me cosplaying, I'm the photographer. I'm part of the 501st Legion, the nationwide group of Star Wars costumers that LucasArts occasionally supports. We go and costume at events such as charity fundraisers or baseball games for no fee; instead, we ask whoever is coordinating the event donate to a charity of their choice. This past weekend we were at the Westview Orchards in Romeo, MI (home of Kid Rock!) when I spotted a sandbox. I called our Darth Vader over, and viola! I love this photo. :p

Here are some pics of a steampunk outfit I made. Sadly I didn't have enough money to do as much as I wanted but I think it turned out pretty well.

(and I know the carpet is messy but I didn't have time to clean up the leaves that came in cause it was windy and peoples feet attract them so nicely)
