So I have a friend completely unassociated with Halforums that goes by Bumby on steam and I can tell it's going to be hell to remember the two of you apart.
Also, you're going to question some things about yourself before you're done with that game. You won't recognize the monster that looks back at you in the mirror.

Man, I still think they telegraphed the Governor's actions by episodes. I mean, he'd done it already, so why was it shocking when he extrapolated to a larger group? Meh, I'm still going to have to disagree that that was surprising or shocking.

No final confrontation between Rick and the Governor despite damn good build-up, the long-awaited prison siege was over quicker than a high school sex session, AND they kill off Andrea, thus cementing her heritage as "awesome in the comics, complete dumbass in the series"?

I never read the comics much, only the first few books, but maybe the fact that you can't predict a characters actions (whether they'll be awesome or dumb) is a good thing. Try to keep the show and comics different, as it seems that's what they're going for and that also seems to be the biggest complaint.
I think the problem isn't being able to predict a character's actions so much as changing a character entirely 180. Comic Andrea is undoubtedly one of the most popular characters, second only to Michonne. The show removed pretty much everything that made the character so likeable, but then also made her incredibly unlikable with the slew of stupid decisions she made. Everyone else on the show I have absolutely no problem with. In fact, there are some that I actually like more on the show than the comic. Herschel, for example, isn't a close-minded bigot. But I don't understand how they can make the number one fan favourite - Michonne - perfect, and yet can't do the same for the arguable second most popular character in the comic. Personally, I kept hoping to see her redeem herself and become the character that comic fans loved. It wasn't like Lori, who - while not exactly hated - wasn't a greatly popular character, so her Lady MacBeth-like character in the show wasn't really something I had a problem with.
To be honest, in a lot of ways, Daryl has essentially replaced Andrea as the crack shot badass of the team.
It's entirely possible that they didn't want her to be the badass fan favorite she was in the comic, and that her character flaws were intentional.
I mean, people can hate on Andrea all they want. I'll join in. But I don't see why you'd complain that she's not like the comic. The show has always supposed to be different from the comic.
Yeah, it seems silly to praise the show changing characters and making you like them, but hating on the show when they change characters to make you not like them.
It's just meant to keep it new and different from the comics. Is there similarities? Of course. Are there borrowed stories? Yup. But just because there are nods to the comics, doesn't mean they need to try to be the comic.

There is also a spin-off show in the works for this... all new characters, all new stories from Kirkman. I doubt it's going to happen, but I'd love to see Lee and Clementine's story on the small screen.

To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure if I'll tune in for this season or not. My enjoyment of the show slowly degraded and I'm unsure if I'm interested enough to tune in.
I'm definitely back on for the ride. After season 2 I was iffy but season 3, for all its ups and downs, had enough awesome to win me over for sure.
I got to watch season 2 in a two-day lump, so the slowness didn't bug me. Season 3 was fantastic and I'm eager to see what happens next.

Also, I had a big smile on my face when I saw all the crop rows and the buildings they'd constructed. Things look really good. And now there's an entire season for it to get ruined.

In a recent interview, they said they had added a new type of zombie. The group had gotten too comfortable with the standard walkers (scout building, methodically kill zombies as a team, take time looting, rinse and repeat). The new kind is going to make zombies scary again. I initially thought for sure that Creepy Clara was it.
I'm not sure if I like that. It's like saying the zombies they have aren't scary enough but they'd already proven they were still a scary threat earlier in the show. It's also similar to the argument of running zombies, saying that it makes them extra scary and such.
Still, it would make sense from a biological standpoint that this virus could evolve. As long as we don't get boomers and runners, I'm okay.
That said, pretty good episode. I wasn't originally going to bother watching anymore, but I gave it a shot; I'm glad I did. It's still a pretty good show. Plus, the gore effects are spectacular, like the dangling zombie during the raining zombies part. I liked the zombie whose head hit the floor, but hadn't been crushed, so he had to peel himself off, leaving the back of his head still clinging to the floor.
