Spoilers I guess. Haha

The other day I caught an ep where Homer receives a letter that results in him thinking this rich treasure hunter guy is his dad. I didn't get to see the end of it.

I was wondering if anyone knew what that episode was or how it ends.. or both?

I'm to lazy to go a-googling and someone has to know.

Abe changed the labels on the the samples so that Homer would be happy with the better father, but Homer realized he loved Abe more than the new guy.

Global warming melts part of the Murderhorn, revealing a frozen mailman from the 60's. The USPS delivers the letters from the 60's, including one addressed to Mona Simpson, from another guy who claims to slept with her. The other guy was someone Mona (Homer's Mom) was having an affair with when she was with Abe, which is why Homer thought he could be his father. Homer finds the guy and they do DNA testing to confirm it, which it does. Homer and new guy bond, go on a deep sea adventure, but get trapped. Abe goes down into the water and saves them and then Homer realizes that Abe is his dad, even if they aren't related. Abe admits he switched the test results, saying Homer deserved a father who wasn't a jerk. They have a happy ending.

I have not watched Simpsons in forever but Homer sounds like some random person trying to do the Homer voice now.

Buh? But that's the exact same actor. As it always has been.
I know, but the voice has changed dramatically from the earlier seasons. I was just watching some season 5 dvds the other day. Dan Castellewhateva's current Homer voice sounds like someone doing an impression of his older Homer voice.

I also don't just mean from when his Homer voice sounded like Walter Mathau either (which he changed during season 1).

Watching the Simpsons voice actors at work was a surreal experience. Hearing Lisa's voice coming out of a grown woman was particularly jarring.
