Whine like a baby, now with 500% more drama!

My overall mood today was "RAAAAGE". i was pissed and angry for no apparent reason. Even the squirells in our backyard piss me off. Stop being so squirelly!

My desk is not quite high enough for me to cross my legs. If I lower my chair, my arms are in an uncomfortable position while typing.

Literally nothing worse has ever happened to anyone anywhere.

speaking of bugs

let me promise you that there is nothing - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING - more terrifying than when a june bug kamikaze flies directly into your glasses lens whilst you are wearing them

I have had an entire monarch butterfly* splash itself across my full-face motorcycle helmet while at speed.
This lady knows what she is talking about.

*I suppose it could have been a viceroy. Positive identification was ... difficult.

I can't believe the conversation I've found myself in. I'm talking with a gal who posted a picture of a man's nude stomach to her tumblr, it's cropped so it's just above being explicit. It's captioned with a poem that includes a line about "the point of pleasure" and she's denying that there's anything sexual about it.
Give it up, Pez. It's tumblr.

I've lost count of how many times I've had a girl post a porn selfie to my dash, only to be followed up by a Dworkin disciple ranting about how merely *looking* at a female should be a hanging offense.

After reading Pez and DA's complaints about tumblr, I want to create a page that condemns people like you for mosquito-shaming.
Better broaden the category to include all hatred for hematophores. Get the support of the vampire crowd.

- Mosquitos didn't choose to drink blood. You can't just go around shaming people insects living beings for the way they were born! Check your omnivore privilege.
- Stop tagging your hate; leave the mosquito tag for people who love our little needle-nosed friends.
- Why are people hating on Florida for having really large mosquitoes this year? Body-shaming women is an issue that isn't exclusive to humans, and we should be telling mosquitoes they're beautiful whatever size they are.
- I just want to say, way to go Alaska. I heard that the mosquito is their official state bird. That is so fantastic, it's nice to see a state being so progressive.

You know, I think tumblr is just like a singularity of Poe's Law. Like, if I saw this post on tumblr, I would just accept it to be someone's genuine feelings toward mosquitoes.

Comcast, you have made the Internet very hard to do this weekend, and I am just not that happy with you right now.

But they used to be in every town in Texas. Not just the large cities.
There was never a 7-11 in Lufkin (have family there), only one in Nacogdoches, and nobody remembers any in Crockett, Center, Livingston or Hemphill areas.

I'm using Dallas and all as a basis for an area, not just a specific town. I haven't found out what happened, but something did for the Houston based area and all the stores that were in it's "district" or "region" shut down over 30 years ago. I grew up around Dallas, and I remember riding bikes from my grandparents farm to a nearby 7-11 in the Segoville area (not sure I would even try as an adult now). My wife just informed me that she saw 7-11s in the Lubbock and Amarillo areas when she was up that was a couple of months back. I'm not sure, but I don't remember any being in Texarkana area during the last 15 or so years, I'll have to ask a friend about that when we talk next.

I know that it seems weird, but my wife constantly looks for 7-11s and points them out, since she grew up in east Texas and didn't have any around while growing up.

Basically every EZ Mart you see today was a 7-11 when I was in Middle School. Then they pulled out of the small markets, and pretty much the entire South East US.

Blah.

Updates to gentoo over the weekend broke NetworkManager, which broke my wi-fi. And mom's got therapy appointments this morning. So much for the usual routine of Starbucks.

I could swap out for the Win 7 drive, but it's got a couple of months of updates to go through, and I don't have the time or bandwidth to get it all done before its time to take her.

Whine whine whine.

And now... a volcano. Ok, it's 400 kilometers away from here, but the falling ashes are affecting my daughter.
