You could always go oldschool.Opinion time!
I'm prepping myself to die of heat this year, I'm wearing A LOT of PVC and gloves (gloves are the worst!!) and I want to give myself a break where I can. I don't think I can handle a wig with the cowl on....How upset do you think people will be if I just use my own hair? I know it's inaccurate - Adam Hughes' Catwoman has black hair, that is relatively short, but...I just don't think I could deal with the extra heat a wig will give me.
How raked over the coals will I be?
( PatrThom, one does not simply throw more layers over an already scorching catsuit. )
Well, I suppose it depends on how accurate you want to be to a specific iteration of the character, or if the spirit of the character is what you're hoping to capture. I really don't think anyone is going to look at you and think "pfft, no cowl? BURN HER!"I know.
But I'm not. I'm specifially doing AH's Catwoman, my PVC catsuit matches his. My catsuit wouldn't look glittery enough to be Julie's.
Well, no, I'm wearing the cowl, I just don't want to wear a wig underneath the cowl. And my hair is quite long, like nearly down to the small of my back, so it will quite obviously hang down. I'm hoping it will fit under the cowl and then no one will see anything. But yeah, I just wanted an opinion about the hair, wether or not you think people will flip their gourd about it.Well, I suppose it depends on how accurate you want to be to a specific iteration of the character, or if the spirit of the character is what you're hoping to capture. Forgive my ignorance. I've never worn one.PatrThom, one does not simply throw more layers over an already scorching catsuit. )

But...I'm not wearing heels.or pointy-heel-to-the-crotch them, depending on your whims.
That's why you carry a whip.But...I'm not wearing heels.
=^^= You know, I tend to waffle between being 100% accurate or giving myself artistic freedom. And Catwoman I feel I should be 100% accurate on, since I'm capable of doing so. I know it doesn't really matter, which is why I'm okay doing it inaccurately, but I do know that people will fight with me about it. That I can garuntee. And that reality is why I'm worried about it.
*awesomeness snipped*
All the nerds. You went to a comic shop dressed like that?
How many nerds were frozen in terror?
Haha, zero! The guy working there is a friend, so he gave me a high five, took my picture and gave me a free trade comic for 'working'. =^^= It was a nice day. Seriously, Sherman is the man - no one paid me any mind as soon as they saw Sherman. You went to a comic shop dressed like that?

Ohhh, you! You're so sweet!Well you just get prettier and prettier!
It may even shock you to know that I'm naturally a brunette, not even a readhead! *le gasp!*Looks so strange seeing you with hair that isn't red.
The selfie really sells it.

I think I'm 'averagely' short. I also think my height is why people still think I'm in high school. I get asked for my id all the time - when I buy M rated video games or certain medicines. Yeah.I love how obviously short you are next to that trooper, it slays me, you dont even look "short".
That's actually average female height in the United States. So you're not short at all, you're just more prone to noticing tall people.I think I'm 'averagely' short. I'm only 5' 4".
Perceptions are kind of weird. I'm only 5' 11" but people keep commenting on how tall I am, when it's basically average height in the US.That's actually average female height in the United States. So you're not short at all, you're just more prone to noticing tall people.
