It sounds like you're feeling the burnout that can sometimes happen when someone takes a hobby they're passionate about and try to turn it into a job. What used to be fun becomes work instead, and work sucks.

Astute observation Poe. =^^=

Every once in a while I get on this kick about how expensive cosplay really is and I just feel so terrible. So, if I could make a profit cosplaying, it's a very appealing thought.

Like, do you guys know how expensive this is...??

Bayonetta tab (thus far):
Shoes - $45
Wig - $45
Body suit fabric - $60
Guns - $23
Gloves - $5
Gold accents - $5
Total: $183

And I still need to buy the rest of the fabric for the crazy hair sleeves, her glasses and all of the chains. And chains are EXPENSIVE. I bet I will near $300 when all is said and done. And this is just one costume. One, out of the many I try to do in a year. And that...hurts my poor bank account....*weeping*

So, I hope it's understood why selling prints and making a profit out of this is appealing.

But that's not what I want. I don't want this to be a job...I want fun! Waaa! See, see why I'm so conflicted.

Originally, the chains I needed/wanted are $4.99 a yard and I need 15 yards....so, yeah, that was not a fun thought. YAY! Happy day!

Also, I dunno if I ever showed you guys but it was Nate's birthday in June and he had a Scott Pilgrim party...and..you know me, I couldn't help but be Ramona.

I'm tempted to make her bag and hammer now because COMFY COSPLAY!

I did a Ramona once also! I don't have any good photos of it but I can also attest that it is the comfiest cosplay ever! I have actually worn my Ramona "costumes" as regular clothes.

They look like their normal selves to me. =^^= It's probably cause I'm leaning forward - that mirror is really short, so in order to get a picture of my full self, I have to lean forward. It tends to put the girls front and center.

I seriously tried to google Hendricksesqueness and was all, 'WHAT IS IT???', but heh, I get it! Honestly, I am honored to be compared to her in anyway, since I find her insanely beautiful. Thanks PatrThom. =^^=

Oh my goodness, you're so adorable!! I hope to make Ramona's bag soon and then I'll feel complete! I have a feeling I'll use her bag as an actual bag a lot of the time. =^^=

I actually got mine from etsy! It was a little pricey ($45.00) but it's really high quality and I use it as a regular bag from time to time so it gets plenty of use. Here's the seller I went through! Also, I can't sew with a machine to save my life because I'm used to just handing things off to my tailor mother who I don't live with anymore, so I gotta buy the stuff, haha.

Oh, awesome! Thank you! I can sew...somewhat okay - I'm still learning. But doing the bag I just wouldn't want to have to deal with it. To many little details that need to look spot on.

Yeah, I mean, we specifically added villains this year, in case you missed the rest of them. =^^= Quite a few couldn't make it (3 if I remember right), so they're not as prominent as we wanted their debut to be.

There's also The Evil Queen and Dr. Facillier.

I'd spotted them, but the Evil Queen was, at one point, presumably, a princess...I hadn't really thought about genderbendered dr Facillier, to be honest
