Kags' Cosplay Thread

Haha! Hey, I did say I'd bring out the steampunk outfit again, just not any new ones. =^^=
*WHEW*

Red Leather... man... that is pretty tough. I can't honestly think of many characters who use a lot of it. Hopefully you can find someone to split it with.

Thanks!

I'm still liking the idea of a femDante. I have a thing about trench coats....

But yeah, it's hard to find someone who only uses some leather and not a whole suit out of it.[DOUBLEPOST=1376071484,1376071436][/DOUBLEPOST]Hey, if she's a BAMF, then I have no problem with what she wears. It's why I'm okay with Bayonetta and wanting to cosplay her, cause she's a definite BAMF.

Well, if it makes you feel better Darth Talon is on my list of dreams costumes and she's nothing more than a twi'lek in a slave Leia outfit, which is the ULTIMATE nerd fetish costume, in my opinion.

Edit addition:

I think a femDante would look awesome. But old school Dante, not new school douchebag.

You're welcome.

Hey, I like new Dante thank you very much! But, if I were to cosplay from the new DMC, it would be Kat. Cause she's cool.

If I were to do fem Dante it would definitely be the old school one though. =^^=

I actually like the new Dante, too. But he still looks like a douchebag, and not nearly as iconic or striking as the original.

Do you think you could make a leather jacket? That opens up some possibilities for casual or gijinka versions of characters. A superheroine (Supergirl, Mary Marvel, Captain Marvel / Carol Danvers) in a casual version. Leather jacket, maybe embossed with the logo, combined with a logo t-shirt and some jeans could really sell the concept. If it's a hero you really love, you might even get some practical use of the jacket (well, assuming you can construct the jacket solidly).

My other idea might be as a shield for some character. It's a shame Link's most iconic shield is blue.

I've always been a huge fan of Rogue from X-Men. She had a (somewhat brief) phase where she wore a red and black outfit.
But really, almost any version of Rogue would be awesome. I think you could pull it off well.

I'd say Mord-Sith but that is not much more than a Fetish costume.
Hmm. I hadn't even thought of this, but I think it deserves serious consideration. I just think too many people have the TV series imprinted on them by now and would see it as "wrong."
I was never a big fan of the interpretation presented in the TV series (too 'theatrical'), much prefer something like the version shown on the cover of Temple of the Winds. It's more red leather pants/boots with red leather corset(cuirass?)/bracers/gauntlets over a red long-sleeved close-knit garment (like a long-sleeve T-shirt/tunic?).

Alternatively you could possibly try Kristanna Lokken's T-X character, which would not be that far off the above, if you wanted to try building costume parts that could work for either.

I could totally see Kags as some variation of Rogue.
Aww, thanks guys! I do love Rogue. >_<

I have this small internal battle about cosplaying that character - my cosplay friend Raven Roth cosplays as Rogue and I've always thought that Monika Lee's Rogue is one of the best I've ever seen. And who could forget Belle Chere.
It intimidates me that so many other amazing cosplayers have already cosplayed her....it makes me feel so shy.

BUT, I will definitely take that in to consideration!! Thank you!

I'm also going to throw out that I really love Pez's idea of making a leather jacket and my immediate thought is to make a Spider-Man jacket and do a Mary Jane cosplay. And even then, I could use the jacket as a real jacket and wear it during the winter months.

After seeing the book cover, I'm in agreement with you. I much prefer the outfit on the book. Which, it looks like a cuirass for sure - very much like armor and no lacing in the front, it's on the sides.

I'll take it into consideration for sure!

Thanks for all of your thoughts guys. =^^=

If you ever want to suggest anything to me at any time, feel free to do so! I kind of love hearing what characters you think I could cosplay/pull off.

Hello friends!

Just a little update:
I'll be going to Salt Lake Comic Con on Friday, wearing Black Cat with my Cos-sister as femSpider-Man. AND, we finally have a photographer!! He's young and a bit inexperienced, but I'm really excited about it. It'll be awesome to help him expand his portfolio and for Raye and I to have a photographer whenever we need one. And you know what that means! Now her and I can finally do more shoots together, especially one we've been planning since last October!! Excite!

So, I should have a real photoshoot of Felicia this weekend, now you have something from me to look forward to. =^^=

oooo pictures....we will have to schedule you for a week from friday so you can tell us about your adventures.

you guys seen kags new footwear for black cat? she is going to break a lot of hearts this weekend with the complete package going on! :3

Haha, thanks Bones! =^^=

Wait, what is that??? A wild photoshoot picture appears!!!

The con was SO much fun, I'll probably do a proper writeup of it later today. I was so happy I got to see my cos-sister and do a photoshoot with her. I was too distracted to do a good job - the heat was killing me! It was so much worse than San Diego. But yeah, I still had a good time and we'll definitely be shooting these costumes again in the future!

Thank you Pezzle!!

And thank you @Ravenpoe! I'm surprised because I enjoy cosplaying as Black Cat much more than Catwoman and I assumed it would for sure be the other way around. I think Black Cat just suits me more...I dunno. But yes, I'm back to my normal happy self, thank you!

I always feel like laying down/upside down photos are the best and always look good. Every cosplayer does them, but...I still totally love them.

I can't wait until I get my real fur and do a shoot with that!! HNNN, I'm so excited you guys!! I love cosplaying.

im just going to say this and live by the infamy, SWEET MOTHER OF GOD THIS COSPLAY NEEDS TO BE SHARED WITH THE WORLD!

Very reminiscent of a famous Vargas pose. I would think the blood rushing to your head (especially if you are already overheating) would get to be annoying fairly quickly.

I have to say, you make an excellent Felicia Hardy, Kags.

I would love to see you doing an interactive photoshoot with someone dressed as Spider-Man.

The floor actually felt really nice, so I was excited to lay down. There are quite a few pictures of me just rolling around on the ground, if I'm feeling silly one night I might upload all of them.

Thank you!! I feel like...I can make a convicing Felicia and that makes me happy.

Hoepfully I can find a Spidey to shoot with because I would LOVE to do a rooftop shoot and UGH, in my mind it's awesome.

Fingers crossed that I can get a hold of this guy to shoot with:

He's a friend of a friend and I think he makes an awesome Spidey. So, if anything comes of it - you guys will know.[DOUBLEPOST=1378608407,1378607875][/DOUBLEPOST]I mean c'mon, I think we'd made a great Black Cat and Spider-Man.

You need a shoot with you in that pose, Spider-Man looking over his shoulder at you, and Mary Jane giving him eye-daggers.

So, I've been debating about joining 'Throwback Thursday' and posting it here. Simply because a lot of you guys follow my other social media sites, so it'll probably be a lot of the same thing for you.

But, I think it could be fun!

And so, here it is:

Throwback Thursday to the very first costume I made by myself (I simultaneously made this and my femLink)! And since it's a first, I also wanted to use an image from the very first photoshoot I ever went on. I feel like I've come quite a ways in terms of crafting things, but it's so fun to look back. Ah, the memories. My desire to do another Poion Ivy outfit has shot through the roof now...MUST...COSPLAY.

I'd love to kind of have a dialogue going between you guys, if you have any questions on the creation of the costume, why I picked Pamela or any other questions pertaining to this costume, I'd love to hear them.

And I hope this doesn't get to repetative.
