It's really weird to see people keep sending me messages and the like, because I really don't feel like I did all that much.I sat up all night posting on a forum and making phone calls, it was @Dave that was able to get his address and @Frank that was able to get it to the proper authorities. I mentioned to someone earlier that I feel like I did the same thing anyone would have done, I just happened to be here when it happened. And then I groaned at what a cliche that sounds like. You guys deserve more recognition than just this thread. Seriously.
Your role in this was important even if it feels like you didn't do much, Poe. If it hadn't been for the phone calls you made...maybe the next person wouldn't have had an idea of how to get in touch with Dave or thought of who to contact in order to reach him. But you did and Leigh is safe and will hopefully get the help he needs in order to recover. It's really weird to see people keep sending me messages and the like, because I really don't feel like I did all that much.I sat up all night posting on a forum and making phone calls, it was @Dave that was able to get his address and @Frank that was able to get it to the proper authorities. Yes, you did. You got to be the Barbara Gordon/Oracle to Frank's Batman and Dave's Commissioner Gordon. It's really weird to see people keep sending me messages and the like, because I really don't feel like I did all that much.I sat up all night posting on a forum and making phone calls, it was @Dave that was able to get his address and @Frank that was able to get it to the proper authorities. I actually had that impulse too! I know exactly were you're coming from. The cost might not work out, nor the timing from his perspective, but I've got some time off at the end of September and could take a few days out for a friend.Part of me is seriously tempted to take some time off and fly up there. But that feels both weird for the fact that I've never met him and that I've never been up that way. Or that I could even afford it.
Two fingers of a Single Malt Scotch would seem more appropo. You guys deserve a beer or 3.
