[TV] Talk about the last TV you watched, the catchall thread

Early that episode Grunkle Stan mentioned that the good relationship between Dipper and Mabel feels unnatural. Could be a foreshadow that his own relationship with his brother is not the best. I also have the feeling the relationship between the kids will break apart.

Either that or Mabel and Dipper will learn from their elder's strained relationship, and try to not be like them. I do expect some distance the next episode, as Mabel trusted Stan over Dipper.

Straight up, that little dude is someone to look out for. ALSO- who is eye-patch guy and the two sunglasses guys? Are they goverenment agents? CONSPIRACY TIME!

Edit:Well the eye-patch dude is suitcase Sam, I guess the sunglasses guys are...the exterminators. Sure they are.

Yeah, watched the first four episodes with my girlfriend last night. It's pretty wonderful.

I wasn't super into it at first, but the episode where we learn about Mrs. Vorhees family history nailed it for me.

I watched the first three last night. That bit was great.

I also loved the brick joke of the fake lion king play.

Also, Last Man on Earth is fucking incredible as well. Will Forte and Kristen Schall's diametrically opposed insanity is so God damn funny. The show is so weirdly high concept that I just don't see it making it out of it's first season.

I didn't even know Kristen Schall was in that. I like Will forte, but Kristen Schall seals the deal for me. I need to watch this.

Steven Universe The Return/JailBreak....HOLY FUCKING SHIT!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD! Jasper is a GREAT enemy, also I can not wait to see Yellow Diamond. And FUSION THEORY CONFIRMED, and they are both adorable. Also- GARNET SINGS!! FUCK YES! Love me some Estelle. And finally, Lapis made a super DUPER sacrifice with that fusion. Good on her.

Steven Universe

Holy fucking shitballs. They'd been holding that back all season and I'm kin of glad, because that number completely blew the others away.

I'm also a bit surprised about the Garnet thing. No, not the fusion thing. That was obvious. The OTHER thing. Never occurred to me that fusion might be used for something like that but it seems obvious in retrospect.

In other news... uh... where are they gonna live now?

Damn straight, great pay-off.

And yeah, did not see that coming. Neat!

Was the whole temple blown up? I thought it was just the side?

And dear lord I can't wait for next season, Peridots stuck on a primitive planet with NONE of her tools, I'd love to see how she tries to take on the gems.

Peridot is NOT a fighter. The only reason she tried to fight Pearl and Amethyst is because she was literally trapped in space with them. She's ether going to try and rescue Jasper from Lapis (probably using those anti-gem rods) or she's going to try and get off planet... and that's assuming she doesn't try to reactivate the Cluster (whatever THAT is) or get a message to Yellow Diamond first (Head of the Gem Conspiracy).

It's starting to sound like maybe Rose started all of this because she was worried about what they were going to do with the Cluster... other planets may have been in danger too.

Also, Jasper made it sound like Amethyst and Pearl were defective models. It's entirely possible there are MORE OF THEM OUT THERE.

I'm betting the Cluster, as seperating Jasper from Lapis would mean actual combat which...yeah. And unless she was lucky enough to have a Wailing stone(or mordern day equivalent) in her pod she might not be able to send a message for some time...unless she breaks into the temple to steal one- HOLY SCHMOZ THAT'D BE AWESOME!

Maybe, I think they said the shooting star was a "cluster" maybe its either a bomb or a huge energy deal?

And Amethys I all ready theorized, but I did NOT see multiple Pearls coming. I am very in-trig-wayed.

I'm just going to go curl up in a ball for a bit. That was... wow.

I'm realizing that I have a thing for musical fight scenes. First Agent Carter did a fantastic one with an existing song, and now Steven Universe has knocked it out of the park with an original song.

Just had another thought...

This is why Garnet absolutely FREAKED when Steven and Connie fused: it probably happened to them just like it happened to her when Ruby and Sapphire fell for each other. To her, being fused together is the ultimate expression of their love and she wanted Stevonnie to know what that was like, even for a short time. It's why she totally school girled.

Actually its more than just the glasses- BEHOLD!
Classic(by the show's history)
New
New shoulder pads, new chest deal, almost no blacks, and new pants! And yet somehow, I hardly noticed it! Maybe because it almost looks more like a pallete swap than a straight up costume change.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is fantastic.

I want "Troll the respawn, Jeremy" to be a thing. Can we make that a thing? I want to make it a thing.

Transformers: Robots in Disguise(2015)

Pretty good, not the best transformers series but it shows promise. Though really they could not have picked a more oxymoronic tagline- "I'll turn into a giant robot dinosaur! No-one will see through that disguise!" Oddly enough it feels more like a sequel to Transformers Animated that Transformers Prime, but whatever. However despite what I feel about this show....I know its gonna bomb hard and get cancelled. Its bad enough Optimus Prime won't be the main leader making fans automatically think its bad, its time-slot is SIX THIRTY AM ON A SATURDAY! Seven AM is a death-slot for sure, but six thirty is BEYOND death. I think its cos its a toy show, and CN doesn't make as much money as with original programming. FLEH- I'll enjoy it while I can I guess.

Well yeah, the first season of RWBY looked less glitchy and that was like TWO guys, but if the show is good on character it might rise above it...right?

The Prime robot designs don't look right with that weird cel-shade style, and I'm not sure how I feel about the pacing from the preview I watched. Might give it a shot if it hits Netflix, but it'd be hard-pressed to be half as good as Prime (hell, if you can get past the shitty animation, TF Animated ended up being a great story too).

Binge watching season one of Homeland.
This might count as a spoiler, but it won't spoil any plot points, it just might spoil one's enjoyment of it:
By the end of season one, I had made three predictions about season two that were 100% correct within five episodes, so I quit watching. What's the fucking point of a show that jerks you around in a way you can predict? At least surprise us.

The first two episodes of Community season 6 are up on Yahoo, but damned if I know how to make them watchable. Yahoo's streaming has always been a choppy mess for me; I could never watch movie trailers that premiered exclusively for them. I don't know how to fix it for a 25 minute TV show.
