Got a text message alert about the quake and thought of him, too. Hope all is well!

We're all fine, thanks for asking. 
My wife's family lives virtually next door to an apartment block that collapsed, but they're fine. My wife and I and my family live in the northern part of Taiwan (the quake mainly affected southern Taiwan) so we basically slept through the whole quake. Rescue and recovery efforts are underway. It's going to be a bittersweet Chinese New Year in Taiwan this year.
