[Gaming] Diablo 3 : Ser Farm-A-Lot

Thays where I was confused (rerolling set items).

Yeah, that's an option. The cost of 5 each of those seems awful high to me though. Beggars can't be choosers I suppose.

Just not enough time to level, upgrade gems, and farm for materials!

That's still really good. I have a LOT of trouble with 74, and it's a bit of a block for me right now. Hopefully after a few better items (ahem, my helm is not that great) and maybe if I find a good Litany of the Undaunted which I can upgrade, that might push me to doing enough damage to push past to 74/75.

Still, it's a tough go, and I'm blown away that people are doing 90's - 100's. Just seems crazy to me.

I don't want to wait until the next patch, though. Still, the Enforcer gem is getting a huge boost with the change from being additive to multiplicative.

So, I just rolled up this Hellfire Amulet. Considering all but one of my skills are Cold, and I'm constantly using all of my dogs and Gargantuan, I'm fairly happy with it. Not a perfect roll, but hey, it's been a while since something passed my way that could be any sort of upgrade. I can't decide what to reroll, though. The Extra Gold is clearly useless, but the Armor could be remade into a whole lot of far more useful stats, too. the socket would probably have to go to Enforcer, since I'm not using it at the moment :p .
Suggestions? CHC or CHD for the Armor would seem obvious choices, but at least Armor is moderately useful. The Extra Gold reroll options are all sort of useless, though....

Too bad you can't reroll it twice.
I'm sorry. It's an ancient, but unless you were really, REALLY looking forward to adding a fifth passive, your other amulet is probably better.
If it were me, I'd probably roll the armor into crit chance unless your crit chance is already >40%, then I might consider crit damage (since amulets can go up to 100% CHD).

Or you could give the other amulet to your enchantress since she doesn't really benefit from the sockets.

I would roll either CHD or CHC. Whichever one you're lacking.

The extra garg damage and the socket and passive are good things. And it's ancient so you can augment it as well.

Sadly, you're probably right. Rerolled it to 10% CHC, but even so, I really notice the drop in survivability, and my damage hasn't increased much (though a little bit). The difference made by Garg and Dogs, even with Enforcer in there (only level 15, my gems aren't really up there yet :p), is just too small. If/when I can really go for a pet build, it should serve well, but for now I'm probably better off with more damage of my own :/

Well, at work right now, and I don't know by heart, but I still run the Jade Harvester set :-P I do have most of the Helltooth, though most of those aren't Ancient - I've been thinking of changing builds but it'd probably be a downgrade in strength, even if it's a nice change-up....

I'm obviously not 100% sure the build displayed there is 100% up to date, but if it's wearing the Hellfire Amulet and has 5 Perfect Royal Topaz's, it should be.

I'm not a Jade expert. I have a hard time with the timing. Overall, the build does a ton of damage if you get the timing right (which I have trouble with) but is squishy. Having Spirit Walk up often is key.

I would recommend either going full Jade or full Pets. For either build, Sacred Harvester is the best weapon. There are a few Jade pieces and skills that I would recommend if you choose to go that way.

For either build, Sacred Harvester is the best weapon.
I can build a mountain out of Gidbinns and Deadly Rebirths (as well as that Firebats staff and a bunch of other weapons) , but I still haven't found a single Sacred Harvester :(. I don't even have GotD as a skill, but this is still the weapon that gives me by far the most damage :-/

Yeah, I've had trouble finding a good Harvester myself, and I've been playing a LONG time now.

Keep at it. Before you know it you'll have more crap than you know what to do with.

I have the strange feeling you've mostly played a Wizard :p
Oh, that's not a picture of my stash (and that's from several patches ago, too).

...but yes, I do happen to have more hours on Wizard than any other class.
omg.....the Inna's set has a Spirit Stone and NOT a helm......wow did I ever waste a ton of materials before cluing in on that one
Wizard Hat, Daibo, Mighty Weapon...oh yeah, I've been there.

Huh, on that note, you can gamble for those things, can't you? Mojo (WD) and source (Wiz) have a separate gambling choice, but Ceremonial Knife or Voodoo Mask don't. I sort of assumed they just rolled out of 1H and Helm?

You are correct.
If you are trying to upgrade class-specific items, you have to use that specific yellow class item (mighty weapon, hand crossbow, daibo, mighty belt, etc).
BUT if you are gambling for them, you have to use the generic category "1H Weapon/2H Weapon/Mystery Helmet/Mystery Belt." The only time you get a break on this is when you gamble for a quiver/mojo/source. And yes, you will get "ordinary" helms/belts/swords/etc mixed in, that's just how they figure it should work I guess.

I do happen to have more hours on Wizard than any other class.
Just checked my stats for time played, by class:

Witch Doctor - 152.5 hrs (I don't play WD much)
Crusader - 230.33 hrs (not too surprising, this class came out 2 yrs after the rest)
Demon Hunter - 331.25 hrs (mostly because of this season)
Monk - 368.66 hrs (neck-and-neck with the other Dex class, Monk was my season 3 favorite)
Barbarian - 478.20 hrs (Barb was always my #2 class, mainly to farm stuff for my Wizard's Templar)
And that leaves us with...
Wizard - 964.25 hrs! Yes, that's right...>2x even the next-most played character, and that's even more amazing when you realize I haven't played a Wiz for at least two entire seasons (except for leveling my HC Wiz to lvl70 for the achievement). I really, really rocked the Sleet Storm/CDR/Frost Nova combo back in the day, some days for 8-10hrs/day.
