This one's a little more subtle. Or not.

I've always preferred Mandy, because there always seemed to be a little more THERE there. Whatever that means.

Anyway, you shouldn't need to have who these two are explained to you. Should be obvious enough.

Yeah I've seen animal house a few times and I don't remember them. Are they just girls some of the guys were trying to sleep with?

I wouldn't call them major characters, but they did have major supporting roles, and were shown throughout the entire movie.

Haven't seen it, but it apparently passes 67% of the bechdel test, Which is a C+ on some grading scales, so there's that. :awesome:

I chose grue because you made it mandatory.

And if you're gonna make one choice mandatory, I don't undrstand why you'd even provide other choices. Are you from Minipax, trying to trick me into betraying Oceania?

You know that you'll always wind up in Room 101 sooner or later...

(And sheesh, give 'em a choice between two extremely attractive blondes and they don't know what to with themselves. :p)

The first two options, duh.

Mandatory was for me to provide grue, not for you to choose it. :p

No, I get that. I already moved on from that lame joke. Now I'm just saying I'm not into blondes. Well, not those blondes, at least.

Lemme guess, you're providing this because it's first full week of classes at Morgantown this week, hm?

Trivia: Most of the scenes for NL:AH were filmed at the University of Oregon, but because Oregon's state flag was generic looking, they decided to use the Tennessee state flag in the scene where Tim Matheson addresses the fraternity council.

Trivia 2: There actually was (and is, as far as I know) a Delta Chi fraternity on the campus of UW-Whitewater when I was there.

I haven't seen that movie in years, and I don't remember them. I know this will come as a shock to everyone, but I never understood the big deal with Animal House. It came off like a movie a bunch dudes made in their spare time.

Having never seen the movie and judging strictly from the picture provided, I'll go with Mandy. She seems less serial-killer-insane.

I only remember that one of them was grabbed by Bluto in a pirate outfit so he could accompany the pillaging in the traditional manner, then later they're shown driving through the country in the stolen car with a freeze blurb referring to them as "Senator & Mrs Blutofsky".

Nah. It was 2am, the place was empty and I was bored. And it seems I've once again overestimated this place's knowledge of popular culture. Animal House is no longer as ubiquitous as it once was.

Because it's older than a lot of the people here, and the movie really isn't that big of a deal anymore.

Twice today (yesterday now, Tuesday) I typed out posts referencing The Day of the Triffids, but never posted them because I figured no one would get the reference.

You are incorrect.
Though really, it's my wife who'd really get it. She was tipsy once while watching the movie, and to her then-boyfriend's chagrin, started lampooning the movie: "Oh no! It's a rampaging rutabaga! <pause> A silly celery! <pause> A terrible turnip! Bwee-hee-heee-heeeee!"
If you want to go obscure, you should reference Island of Terror.

That book is still widely read, and the 2009 adaptation (the one with Eddie Izzard) was pretty popular.

Simpsons helped keep that relevant well into my time.
