I could see that, especially since the movie hadn't really set-up a no-kill rule for him previously, so his scream after killing Zod would likely be a reaction to feeling the life force leave Zod, one of Superman's less talked about and more traumatic abilities (for him).
And then I guess him sacrificing himself to kill Doomsday is like him taking responsibility for that this thing wouldn't exist if he hadn't killed Zod?
I feel like there's a bunch of scenes in these where it's like I see what they were going for, but they were one more take or script revision away from making it work as well as it could have.

Wasn't sure where to put this, but since this is the last thread I remember people discussing Superman: American Alien, I'll put it here. I know @GasBandit was reading that, and I think @ThatNickGuy and I'm not sure who else.
Max Landis did a mini-comic in the same vein in anticipation of the trade release.
I enjoyed it. He mentioned on Reddit that if enough people buy the trade, it might convince DC to let him do another mini-series, though I'd be happier with an ongoing. Hell, based on this mini-comic, I'd want him to retell all the pre, during, and post pregnancy stories Nick mentioned we missed out on because DC played 1, 2, skip to New 52 with continuity.

This image would fit in the world of the animated series or the Burton films; less so in the Snyderverse.
She already had her own movie.
I enjoyed Suicide Squad enough that a movie based on someone in the group would be worth checking out, I think.
If it's actually her solo movie, I'd be interested.
But from what I've heard, Margot Robbie wants it to be her and Jared Leto. Why, after the shit he pulled during filming, I have no idea, but if he's in it, I'm not watching it. I could barely stand his 3 minutes in Suicide Squad.
Actually, what I've heard is that it might be more of a Birds of Prey film that happens to have Harley Quinn in it.
And that's more likely, considering post-Suicide Squad events. I was just mentioning what Margot Robbie said. I'd much rather have the Birds of Prey + Harley.
That's the plan I heard when Margot Robbie first announced wanting to do a Harley movie. As she was researching Harley Quinn, she discovered the Birds of Prey and other DC heroines and loved the characters, but felt that no one was doing anything with them.
It can't be worse than the TV show.
I'd be up for a Birds of Prey Vs Gotham City Sirens thing. You'd have Black Canary, The Question, and Batwoman or Huntress vs. Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman.

Oh yes it can. Remember this is the studio that pit the guy who made sucker punch in charge.
I like her. She's cute. But more importantly she's insightful and presents her insights in an entertaining way.
Also, she's apparently uncomfortable with looking at me, and that's how a lot of women in my life behave when they talk to me, so there's already a familiarity there.

Extended. I guess they didn't want to say DCCU for Cinematic. So we have DCU, DCAU, DCEU, and DCTVU.

That seems to be much of the fanbase. In the same vein, the DCEU's greatest "success" is having a group of people who will like the movies associated with the brand, no matter what.
Even if BvS was transformed into a perfect film, Jared Leto still plays Jared Leto playing the Joker in Suicide Squad.
They should take a page from Gotham. It's great and well put-together while still being the sort of dark and grim you'd expect of Batman's universe.
I guess we all stopped caring enough to not notice that The Flash movie has lost its director over creative differences.
