A smiling baby was the first sign.

. . . so yeah, this acopylapse has been impending since Cain was born. Or was Abel the first? Actually, that wouldn't matter; Abel never smiled as a baby.

Well, "The Monster at the End of This Book" (got the title wrong, earlier) is a children's book starring Grover. At the beginning Grover tells the reader that there is a monster at the books end, and then tries to keep the reader from getting to the end. It's one of my childhood favorites. At the end it's revealed that there was nothing to be scared of because Grover was the monster at the end of the book.

I'll leave Watchmen spoilers to someone else.

I had never even heard of Watchmen until this movie came out. The only DC heroes I knew were Superman, Batman, Green Lantern (but only from Mav in IRC, really), and Wonder Woman (from the old TV show). I did not read DC comics. Or much beside Marvel really.

I still wanna watch Watchmen but yeah, if someone would spoil the ending here just because it was in a one shot comic 20 years ago I probably would skip it and never watch it.
The plot deviates from the 12 issue graphic novel in some pretty serious ways actually. But my point is that there IS a statute of limitations on spoilers (for this forum, it's one year). Even if you think you should wait longer than a year, 22 years is more than long enough to allow open discussion of the plot.

I did a Google search for Facebook (don't ask why) and this headline popped up:

Google Gets Its First Taste Of Facebook's Realtime Stream
.

It's giving me the giggles because it sounds so wrong in my head.

So I borrowed this Marantz recorder from the Radio/TV/Film equipment department, and seeing as most students are lazy layabouts who don't shift their shit from the stick thingy, I came across a whole bunch of other people's sound files. There was this one hilarious one where a dude asks 'What movies do you watch when you're sad' to which a girl answers 'I definitely like to watch Labyrinth ... because I like to look at David Bowie's bulge'.

So, all that effort spent wrapping the gift up a dozen times paid off. The Dutch girl commented "This is exactly what Sinterklaas is all about." Couldn't have got a better compliment, could I?

I might be visiting Chicago with a friend next summer. Turns out we both have internet friends there that we wanna meet.

You are in terrible danger.

But when that danger hits and you're wearing your uggs, I want pics. And not grainy night-time pics. Well, actually yeah: night-time pics would be preferred; just not grainy.

I love girls wearing Uggs because they (the boots) look like the real life version of the boots Akira Toriyama has always drawn. And everybody knows I love fictional objects made real.

how is this music? Where can I find it? HOW DO YOU PRONOUNCE THEIR TITLES?[/QUOTE]
The first one, iirc, "umaumauma." then the キタ━━━━(゚∀゚)━━━━ !!!!! is pronounced "KIITAAAAAAAAAAA" (I came). Everything else, no idea.

If you do really want it, google around for an Exit Tunes torrent or a download of "[QWCE-20001] ウッーウッーウマウマ(゜∀゜) SPEEDアルバム" (the cd's title).
