Lilandra: I didn't know Geena Davis cosplayed.

The Thing: Aw, I actually really liked it.

Wolverine (is anyone else puzzled as to how the ol' Canucklehead's bone claws are somehow thicker than his metal coated ones?)
Not really... they sharpened the bone before they put the adamantine on, so of course the metal claws would be smaller than the bone claws.

Oh, that make sense... actually. Nevermind.

Ditto.
I thought the paint job was great, I just couldn't get pas that it was so round and didn't look rocky enough.

I'll post any pics I find in the future.

While not an awsome cosplay, this is closer to what the Thing should look like

Since everyone seems to like her so much, more Wasp

While this shot is overexposed on her lovely face, you can really make out the different panels in the costume, and it's some amazing work.

Power Girl (Belle Chere), Wasp, Golden Age Flash

Wasp and Joker (has his cane been showing in previous pics? It's awesome.)

Frog Thor is from an old What If? story where he was cursed, and I believe Storm became the new God of Thunder while it happened. Something like that, I used to have the comic.

How is belle chere keeping her... um, assets inside her costume!?!?!? Not complaining, just a physics question :D

And pardon the noob question, but do these people make their own costume? I can definitely tell some are a homebrew job, but others are so well crafted, I can't tell. I couldn't see this being so popular or respected if they're all just ordering from some superhero supplier.

And if they are hand crafted, do they usually hire people to wear it for them? Like commissioned actors?

Wait, I've been out of the comics loop for a while, Are Cloak and Dagger in the Xmen now?

If so, AWSOME. I LOVE Cloak and Dagger.

Wait... why would they be X-Men? They aren't even mutants... they got their powers from drugs!
I do know that they were retconned as having been mutants all along, with the drugs just activating their latent powers.

I think that may have happened as early as the original New Mutants run. There was some storyline with Wolfsbane and Sunspot getting their powers.

No, because they neve rmentioned anything about being mutants during their issue in Runaways, which was less than what... 3-4 years ago? New Mutants was around long before that.

C'mon, there have been lots of members of X-teams that haven't been mutants. Longshot, Daytripper/Magik, Shatterstar, Captain Britain, Meggan, Warlock, Juggernaut, Hepzibah...

From comments I've seen I know quite a few of them make their own costumes, and some of the best costume makers are hired by others to make their costumes. I know the gal who plays Wasp, Mary Marvel, Zatanna, etc, makes her own costumes. As do Kelldar, Lady Skywalker and I'm pretty sure Belle Chere.

That's actually Mockingbird, in her new costume.
I was given bad information. :humph:

More unidentified cosplay:

Comic book characters?
Yep, those are Dove and Ronin (Who is the guy who was Hawkeye before), members of the New Avengers (Marvel)
More recently there was a "Lockjaw and the Pet Avengers" mini series, which had a character, "Throg", who picked up a sliver of stone that had been chipped off of Mjolnir, giving it a little mini-hammer, and Thor's powers, at frog size. He may also be playing that one.

Ah, I do like the comics that look at the lighter side of super heroes, like "Damage Control"...

They retconned them being mutants a few decades ago, and it's in the storyline that I was thinking of. It's actually one of my favorite new mutants storylines (the new mutants was the first comic I ever started reading as a kid) It's just not brought up very often and they don't really consider themselves part of the "mutant community".
