Shawnacy's 4E D&D Game, part 2!

Gusto, you ever send that file? I haven't seen it in my box yet.

Don't forget to take note of the riddle above, folks. I'm sure it will come in handy.

Can't wait for tonight!

We tried hot boxing gametable last night and it seemed to work fine.

Shawnacy's 4E D&D Game, part 2!

We tested out running two separate gametables on the same computer joined to the same network, allowing us to play two characters at once. You just flip between the two and have separate macros, pogs and login names. We were just wondering if it was possible as a method of other PC's playing PC's who can't make that session.

Just sent my character file, macro file, pog information, and what spells and item powers I have prepared for today.

Shawnacy's 4E D&D Game, part 2!

Hey, Saryon. Sorry to hear about your mom. Hope things are okay. You were missed tonight but totally understand.

Shawnacy's 4E D&D Game, part 2!

First, I hope all is well with your Mom Jay, may she feel better soon.

Second, thanks to Shawn for the very nice and descriptive settings/effects.

Third, thanks to rathkor for stepping up and filling in for Gusto.

and now in the flavour of Dave's fantasy football league rankings, for your amusement purposes only!

Justicia's Rankings of the Raven Queen.
A comical list of who Justicia thinks could benefit the Matron of Winter the most and thus most likely to be killed by him at a future date.
New rank (previous rank) Who Explanation

1. (4) ADIA - Adia definitely caught the Raven Queen's eye this week with her fantastic battlefield control and resource management skills. Justicia will surely be looking to help her join his Queen's embrace shortly

2. (6) GRENDMIR - Rebounding after a dreadful week of dino-busting, Grendmir shows his massive damage capabilities and some excellent stickiness this week. Justicia is sure to keep an eye out for an opportunity to help Grendmir enjoy the warm embrace of winter.

3. (3) SARYON - Saryon remains steady as always with excellent resource management and usefull debuffs. He remains a solid potential addition to the Raven Queens army

4. (1) JUSTICIA - Justicia had a very bad week, plagued with success in soft skills but woefull combat results and a disgusting show of self preservation. Justicia vows not to kill himself until he shows some significant improvement

5. (2) ERRIK - Normally rock steady, everyone's favourite wizard showed some disturbing acts of cowardice and self preservation. He has fallen out of favour and is safe from slaughter this week.

6. (5) SERRIN - Great demonstrations of arcana knowledge do not impress the Gods much. The shapeshifter seemed oddly absent from the battlefield this week, but her nihilistic actions keep her in the eyes of the Raven Queen.

Now don't get me wrong I think you're all right, but that won't keep me warm in the long cold, lonely nights.

Edit:

Thanks Shawn here is my updated Char Sheet

Shawnacy's 4E D&D Game, part 2!

Sorry folks, indeed my mom has kept me busy. I spent most of my time spending time spending time with her. I should be fine for next week. Thanks for understanding.

What did I miss?

In a tesseract?

What did I miss?
Not much. I don't think we accomplished anything really. We went into a path between cliff walls where we found six bodies, with some gold on them, and they had dents in their torso bones. We found a fake cave (meaning a building carved to look like a cave). The party divided briefly, entering it from both ends. The room was darker than dark, and filled us with the faces of lost loved ones, and screams that were despairier than despair. Supposedly, this was a room outside the Feywild, a place worse than the Shadowfell. We found three identical statues: a crowned humanoid with the face scratched off. One statue was in a room with bones protruding from the walls, hundreds of skeletons, and their limbs all stretched out toward the statue. Then we fought two gray angel creatures that appeared to have radiant resistance.

And you also have a lot of work to do;

Grendmir 16/82 HP
Adia 24/62 HP
Errik 36/56 HP
Serin 40/58 HP
Saryon 49/72 HP
Justicia 52/74 HP

Yeah, I landed like 1 hit in the entire battle.

I tried to RP a little bit more this time around, hope you guys liked it if you noticed. Nothing fancy, just reactions.

It's easy playing a stupid loudmouth. Playing a character who is quiet, pained, and ostracized, but looking for friends, is a little harder.

Not hitting doesn't matter unless a PC ends up dead because of it. How you miss/hit is more important. 4ed is built so that it is almost impossible to kill someone. But if someone does die, you owe them a jigsaw.

Just to clarify, that was my wife playing MarioKart last night, not me.

She also would like it known that she is a much better Mariokart player than I am.

Shawnacy's 4E D&D Game, part 2!

Hey Gurpel. Welcome back.

And with that... I'm taking a break from a lot of this. I think I just stacked on more and more D&D and I'm feeling burnt. I'm gonna be taking a break from Shawn's game and my own will be on hiatus too. When Jay's game comes back, I'll be there for that one, assuming it will be only in pairs of weeks as usual.

It hasn't ceased being fun, it's just that everyone's being torn apart all at the same time. Even I'm busy as hell recently. :(

Shawnacy's 4E D&D Game, part 2!

What game is this week?

Shawn: You're awesome. But it's multiple things, chief among them that I've gotten burnt out on too much D&D. Julie's been burnt out. This is somewhat my fault, for both of us, but in any case, I need to downsize to a game, (whereas Julie's downsizing to no games) and Jay's been trying to get his game off the ground while yours has had a long run and no shortage of players. So I'm choosing to go on with his game and break from yours.

Shawnacy's 4E D&D Game, part 2!

Regardless of whose game is this week, I have the second of my four Thursday night tests.

Shawnacy's 4E D&D Game, part 2!

Well if that's the case I may have to put my game on hiatus for the time being.
Another game may be in the works, but for the time being I'm going to take the necessary break then.
