So new season starts up later this month, and a preair version of the first episode has been leaked.

Major highlight of this season: Lundy's back, yay!

You should put that in spoilers for those that are gonna watch it on TV like god intended.

Although, knowing here that's probably absolutely no one.

ANYWAYS, I'm super excited to see more of the (probably) main antagonist of the season
John Lithgow/Trinity, and hopefully he has more than three kills all season. That was creepy as fuck.

Some of us can't get Showtime where we live.

I'll end up picking up the season set when it comes out and watch it from start to finish in a night or two like I have been with Dexter so far.

YEAH it was creepy. He's such an amazing actor.
I watched him on 3rd Rock from the Sun earlier that day, then I watched that bathtub murder scene. I think I was squirming all day... I should have closed my eyes.

The first season is still my favorite, and I feel like it's been getting a little bit worse, but I'm still gonna watch it. These new obstacles of his should be interesting.

BRR! I'm still squirming.

Someone wanna come sleep over? I don't want to be alone. I'm afraid I'm going to be attacked by a
naked John Lithgow.

Even though this whole "living in suburbia" thing is gonna be an interesting challenge, I'm not as into this season as I was with the earlier ones. I'm still gonna watch; it's shaping up to be pretty good. I just need to make my peace with the fact that nothing is gonna top season 1 for me, probably.

The "clue" about where the body was hidden was very cool. I was just sitting there complaining the whole time, "Jesus Christ, will they give the bloom a rest?! I know his dad's dead, but COME ON.

I got about 1/2 way through season 2 before I stopped. I liked season 1 but season 2 started to wear on me a bit. I haven't gone back although there's no reason why I don't.

Personally, I think this season is shaping up to be just as good as Season 2 (my favourite season). What I liked about the second season was this: remember in the first season when they found some of his bodies and he worked like a dog to cover it up? That was my favourite episode and season 2 was basically all that.

Personally, I'm really enjoying this new season. It's interesting that they've revealed the killer's identity (at least to us) right away, so we can see his methodology and how it differs from Dexter's (very personalized, gets face time with his victims, etc). And on top of that, Lundy's back and all sorts of other things are throwing wrenches into Dexter's life. I've always understood that the best way to tell a story is to throw as much crap at your main character as possible and see how they deal with it. Last season, Dex kind of had it easy, since he had kind of an alibi for a majority of the season.

I thought season 2 was ok. The British woman pissed me off, but that was just her doing her job, lol. Season 3 was really interesting to me, because he acquired a partner... and to me, one of the scariest villains ever. The guy's face after his first kill was so foreboding. You knew exactly what was going to happen. Brrr...

The British chick made me want to stop watching the show. The face she made when she was feigning being hurt made me want to smash my tv.

I very much enjoyed episode 3. The ending with the vandal didn't quite surprise me, but I love the way Dex handled it. And what a chilling scene with the Trinity killer.

I´m not really liking the whole "Dexter in the suburbs" storyline. The writers are having him do things that make no sense. I would prefer that the show shifted back to showing Dexter on the hunt but I guess that the writers really wrote themselves into a corner with the whole marriage thing.

The trinity killer (assuming that there isn't a fourth kill he always makes that Lundy failed to pick up on) is a real nice touch though seeing as how he's 2/3's of the way through his pattern after so few episodes I´m not seeing how they will extend it through the whole season.

I am loving season 4. The Trinity Killer is fantastic and Lithgow plays that part perfectly. Only one thing would make the series perfect and that is having Dexter break from his code and kill Rita and the kids. I can't stand listening to Rita nag him. When she was driving him to work and wouldn't let him get a second cup of coffee I felt that was reason enough right there. No wonder her first husband was abusive and a drug addict. Married to that I would be, too.

I don't mind Rita that much. Seems like she's had kind of a crappy life, and now she's enjoying this almost sedative-like state of normalcy. I liked her more when she was a trembling little puppy dog who didn't make any trouble, though. She's gotten more confident, and so she bosses Dexter around more. And now she feels that she can expect more of him since he asked to marry her.

Sometimes I think it would be cool of he could return to his status quo--living alone in his apartment and focusing only on his job and killing... but then I get curious as to how he's going to get over the next complication that suburban life brings. Frankly, I was waiting for Rita to have a miscarriage. I thought there was no way they were gonna go through with that.

I am really weirded out by the fact that you sound just like my mom. She would like to kill Rita herself.

Personally I think finally confronting Rita will be a huge milestone for Dexter. He doesnt need to kill her.

I love Lithgow this season. The man is an amazing actor. I am so excited to see the rest of the season.

YES. Sunday's episode was one of my favorite Dexter kills.

"What is it with you and rape? No one's raping anyone!"

GOD I love that actor! And damn, is Lundy good or what?

Ouch, JUST finished the episode. Apparently he's not THAT good. :waah:

The ending of the latest episode made my jaw drop. And I will never be able to watch John Lithgow again and not hate him. I turned over to an old rerun of 3rd Rock from the Sun last night just to see John on that and felt my hatred rise.
And I agree, Dexter's recent kill was most gratifying.

This thread is not about Dexter's laboratory. You get a failing grade.

I'm at the opposite side of the spectrum... i can't see Trinity as creepy as he should be coz of 3rd Rock...

Yeah I keep waiting for him to admit he's an alien and get scared of Jello.

I'm waiting for Lundy to be revealed as the Big Giant Head...

Honestly? Given Trinity's targets, I'm starting to figure Rita might not live to the end of the season, whichcould make things VERY interesting.

And yeah, I didn't see that hook coming and man, does it ever make Dexter vs. Trinity incredibly interesting, now.

Brrr, that would be nuts. But then where would that leave Dexter? He'd be stuck with kids and no second caregiver.

No way they're not going to milk the whole "killin' behind the family's back" stuff going for at least a season... so Rita's staying in the midst of things for a while.

And i was so expecting Trinity to be leaving town in that car, getting Dex into more trouble for being away etc... but i forgot it was only the 6th episode or so... still plenty to go.

Forget everything I said. I love this season. Trinity's fucking crazy. Lithgow might be my favorite villain since season 1.

The twist with his daughter was very cool, and I'd been suspecting her of something.

This past episode was crazy--Dexter having to actually chase someone around for a change. Lithgow's scenes where he's with the boy in the basement are so creepy. And that's actually how some kids get kidnapped, isn't it? Telling them their parents got in an accident. BRRR!

The teaser's got me so nervous. What's going to happen?!

This show is somehow surpassing Season 1 after two seasons somewhat wandering in the fog
Seriously. Season 1 was such a mindfuck that seasons 2 and 3, although also nuts, seemed tame and a little disorganized by comparison. Especially season 3. I kept waiting for the "real villian" to show up. Somehow the tree trimmer guy just didn't seem hardcore enough to be any kind of a threat to Dexter.

I think the threat in s3 was supposed to be more about him ending up with a "partner" then anything else... more the situation itself then any "villain".
