The almost-aborted kittens.
So I'm sure a few of you remember my rage-filled post in the Rant thread. For those who didn't see it, the basic gist was, "Girlfriend works at a vet clinic, idiot brings their cat in to be spayed two days before due to give birth, vet notices kittens wiggling around in the uterus, vet and vet techs try to save them."
They weren't too hopeful, since the kittens were 'born' prematurely and one of them was really tiny, but they kept 'em under a heat light and fed/washed them every two hours. Here's a picture of them on day one:
Today the girlfriend called me and asked if I'd mind doing her a favor. I told her of course not, and she brought over the kittens. Aside from the mom rejecting the kittens (necessitating us massaging their butts so the kittens can poop/pee every two hours) due to the spaying, they're doing perfectly fine, and two of them already have adoptions lined up. The story has a happy ending, and here's a couple pictures to make you go 'awwwww':
