It was his way or the highway. (Patrick Swayze)

I really enjoyed his movies and the media reports on how nice of a guy he was. I also respected a man who was voted sexiest man in America and could of had a revolving door of women but stayed faithful to his true love. Sad news indeed.

Damn you Tom Brazelton! I liked Pat.

Edit: Thanks Zen, didn't see yours first, was about to report mine!
Suuuure. I bet you created this after seeing hers just so she could have the little pickmeup of merging threads to help distract her from the mourning.

A moment of silence for the greatest mullet of Hollywood.

I will take a moment from being a smart ass to say that as a youth, I admired this man's ability to play an action movie as well as a dancing movie. Haven't seen him in much since, but still, it's a shame.

Edit: this moment of honesty brought to you by whisky. Don't judge me.

I just read the L.A. Times obituary and yeah, there was a guy who had plenty of problems in his life, and worked hard to overcome them and keep his marriage together.

Also, he was in the Joffrey's second company? That's damn impressive.

I don't really recall watching many movies with him in them (but than gain I usually don't pay attention to what actor is playing what role) but the news still saddens me a bit. 2009 has been a hard year for celebrities :(

I liked the movies of his I saw, he seemed to put real work into his roles, and the others around him responded as well.

Just saw this on BBC. Last time I saw a picture of him, he looked like he was in bad shape. Sorry to see he didn't recover. Cancer is pretty damn awful.

I was actually rather surprised they gave him a new show considering his health issues. Oh well. Poor a little out for my dead homey.

First time I saw him was in The Outsiders as PonyBoy's oldest brother, Darrel. I was only 12, but I knew it wouldn't be the last time I saw him in films.

I wasn't what you would call a fan, but I certainly didn't wish him harm. Bummer he's gone.

For someone who had pancreatic cancer, he was blessed with more time than most. I have a feeling he made the best of it.

Yeah, this is sad news :-(
I'm watching North and South again in his honour.
This.
But as it takes a long while to get throught I will start my own memorial service with Ghost.

I always liked the story how, before shooting of North and South started, he invited James Read on his ranch and taught him how to ride. This is a really nice gesture and just shows, along with loving his wife for his whole life, what great kind of person Patrick Swayzee was.
