If you take the time to see Batman Forever, but not Citizen Kane, you have very little right to be taking the piss out of anyone else's movie choices.I've seen like 1,000 movies. There's still a lot of good stuff on my queue/to-watch list.

That's a pretty lame excuse.I haven't seen every great movie ever made, very few people have.

It's not that you haven't seen movie X, Y, or Z. It's that you you get all film snobby, "your favorite movie sucks" mode every damn time the discussion comes up and you have never seen what is almost universally considered the best movie ever made. You can't really be much of a film snob if you haven't seen the pinnacle of the medium. What I'm getting at is that it's senseless to say \"oh, your opinions have no merit, you haven't seen x movie!\" Since you could find a truly great \"x movie\" for almost anyone that they've never seen. You could dismiss someone if they haven't seen any really great movies, or hate all movies in black and white or refuse to watch any older movies period or something inane like that.
People call you a film snob because you deride other people's taste in films. I wouldn't consider you a film snob now because your knowledge of film is kinda lacking.I don't even think I'm a film snob. I see a lot of crap. It's funny that people call me a film snob just because I don't like everything I see.

Good Eats is celebrating 10 years. That Guy With The Glasses hasn't even been around for 2 yet.So who came first? This guy, or Alton Brown's Good Eats? His schtick seems like a lesser copy of Alton Brown's humor.
Or because they like a movie you don't like. What I'm getting at is that it's senseless to say "oh, your opinions have no merit, you haven't seen x movie!" If it was just Citizen Kane, I could see your point, but he has not seen:I think most of you are just trying to have your snively moment in the sun hoping on one of his poor choices. Which, I guess, is your right to do. But just because a dude hasn't seen Citizen Kane isn't enough of a reason, I don't think...
Does Chuck actually do that? (I can't remember) But if so, that's just idiotic of him in 300 different ways. You also don't attempt to pass yourself off as "better taste than you" movie style critic.

Really? Do post that list.I could post any top 100 movies list, and anyone would have 20-40 they haven't seen.
Works better, and is less idiotic than "Ive watched a 1000 movies", although unlike someone else, I dont claim to have a better taste at movies or to be a real "critic", just to enjoy stuff that most probably never will.thanks for playing the cultural elitism card once again, brah.
Fixed for greater accuracy.Charlie just likes to fuck with peoples' heads into thinking he watches a lot of movies, when he's really counting porn and WWE pay-per-view shows.
