Were all the other 80s bands booked at the local seniors homes or was this the only concert you could get to?

Oh. Tell them 1980's Metallica thinks they suck balls.
You mean "One" is better than "I Disappear"?

Blasphemy I say, blasphemy!
Psst: One's from the 90's.
Oh REALLY?

"One" was written in November 1987 and released in 1989 on "...And Justice for All".

"I Disappear" was released and recorded in 2000 for the Mission: Impossible 2 soundtrack.

That's okay. I second guessed myself too and had to confirm on Wikipedia. It was right on the cusp, that's for sure.

lamb of god starting in a moment. and also, buch of c.unts here just full of hate.

it is okay, eventually you will remove those sticks from your asses

What are you doing in here??? Get outta here and have fun at the concert!! :) Dance around and whatnot!
If by 'dance' you mean 'mosh', then go for it. If by 'dance' you mean 'hardcore dance' like the bunch of idiots at some of the metal shows I've been to, I will put my foot in his ass.

Rock out, though! I've heard Metallica still puts on a great show live!

I've heard the opposite.

Personally I don't care much for Metallica after Justice, but they have a few decent songs. Death Magnetic was okay.

But hey, if you enjoy it, ain't got nothing to say but have fun.

Volbeat, on the other hand (who apparently opened) is fantastic. Weird, but fantastic.

I've seen them live 3 times, but I feel like I have outgrown them I don't really listen to them anymore.

that being said if I would have the chance to see them again I wouldn't hesitate. I just wouldn't pay to much money for it.

Seen em 6 times over the years, and they were the first concert I went to like 13 years ago. The set list was different, but still good. Not a fan of how much they played off Death Magnetic, but it was still a really great show. The second half was on par for the course with a lot of old stuff, and it made it great.

All in all, a really grat show, and I will see them again when I can. Still one of my favorite bands.

Wow, really? Uhhh, almost everyone I know including myself feels the opposite to your first statement.

Volbeat was decent, but I think the acoustics or their setup might have been a bit off, and it brought it down some. Their cover of Johnny Cash was great, though.

*shrug* I've never seen them, but so I've heard. Maybe those shows had some bad acoustics or whatever. I dunno.

Never a huge Matallica fan, but wifey is.

Back in January, instead of going away somewhere, we took a weekend to ourselves, got a hotel in the city, went to see Cheech and Chong one night then Metallica the following night.

And yes, they do put on a kick ass awesome show. Loved every minute of it.
