Is coming after Blackest Night: http://www.newsarama.com/comics/Brightest-Day-Announcement-100111.html

Starting in April (just after the conclusion of Blackest Night in March) with an issue #0, the series will be 26 issues long and ship biweekly. Writers Geoff Johns and Peter Tomasi, who currently write the two Green Lantern series, will be writing the new book. Fernando Pasarin will do the art for issue #0, but no regular artist was announced on the main series as yet; it will however have multiple art teams to facilitate the every-other-week schedule. It was heavily implied that Johns and Tomasi will also continue writing Green Lantern and Green Lantern Corps, respectively, and that both books will tie-in to the series.

supposedly brightest day is either gonna be like 52 and be its own thing, or be like dark reign and have a central idea with no "must read it all" story...which is good because i'm broke

BIweekly? thats... two issues a WEEK. how the hell are they going to manage that?!

Heres hoping its more like 52. that series was fantastic.

I follow the same rule with Blackest Night as I do with all crossovers. If it's not related to a book I read normally I won't get it just because it has a red sky. Main event book not withstanding.

Let me elaborate. It will be Hal, because the story revolves around him. That said he won't have it by the end of Brightest Day. It will be something temporary like Kyle Raynor as Ion.

[edit] I miss the thread merge feature we had. I would have just edited my above post if I had realized it was gone.

The Ultimate White Lantern would be Rush Limbaugh. He'd be the enemy of all the Black Lanterns and would make all the Green Lanterns sit at the back of the Galactic Bus.

I'm still hoping there won't be any White Lantern, or if there is Dove.

They should just make it so that the White Light requires all the different colours be combined by their wielders coming together at some spiritual level.

No, it's biweekly meaning every 2 weeks...basically 2 issues a month. 26 issue story over 1 year.

The alternate weeks will be filled with

I was happy then I saw that Judd Winick was co-writing the book. Anyone want to start taking bets on which JLI character will suddenly be gay?

I'm hoping Fire... with Ice being bi, so Guy will still get to have awkward dates with her where the reminisce about how she died once.
