Osama Bin Laden speaks out on... Global Warming? And Bailouts?

Wait, what?

Osama bin Laden enters global warming debate

Apparently speaking in his second audio broadcast of the month, Bin Laden criticised George W Bush, the former US president, for not signing the Kyoto Protocol on regulating carbon emissions, and spoke out against excessive corporate influence in the United States.

He also presented himself as an opponent of government bail outs to western banks, whose speculation and unfair competition practices, he claimed, were largely to blame for the global financial crisis.

\"When those perpetrators fall victims to the evil they have created, the heads of state rush to rescue them using public money,\" he said.

I, um... wait, um, huh?

So someone's found a way to fake Bin Laden tapes?

Does he have wildly varying inflections?

"Greetings AMERICAN infidels! I shall BURY YOU under your own greed!"

heh. I guess since he is "losing" members, maybe the terrorist is trying to recruit different type of terrorist? or gain support from other anti-american people?

Or maybe just because he resorts to acts of violence against civilians doesn't mean he's a saturday morning cartoon villain, but has actual political goals.

Foment chaos within out political system is part of his agenda. By coming out with these statements, he knows he can cause dissent (Fox news may very well be the target with this- Bin Laden has liberal values, Bin Laden is Liberal, Liberals are terrorists). I just hope our media is smart enough not to take the bait.

Stop laughing.

It's not the laughing, it's the face-palming I can't stop.

With any luck, Bill O'Reilly will crack his spine from the instant hard-on...

If he is trying to cause dissent, he kind of shot himself in the foot by saying he wanted to stop global warming, but also that he's against the bailouts. The democrats would support what he said about global warming, and the republicans would support what he said about bailouts, so if either side tries to make the other look like terrorists because Osama supports one of their agendas, The other side will be able to completely jump on them and make them look like complete idiots.

I'm guessing that both Democrats and Republicans realize this, so they won't try to gain support by associating the other party with Osama's words.

You must not have met my friends Keith Olberman and Glenn Beck.[/QUOTE]

I don't really pay much attention to them, so I guess don't know how dumb they can get. I'm sure they're dumb enough to run the old "Osama Supports them, so they're a terrorists" fallacy, but you don't have to rub too many brain cells together to realize that that argument doesn't work when Osama supports YOU in the same video.

I wouldn't put it past those two guys to promote their agendas at the expense of the nation of a whole. But to promote their agendas when there is so obviously no way for it to NOT come back to bite them is one of the dumbest things possible.

Are you telling me I need to lower my faith in humanity even lower? Because I thought it was already at rock bottom.

Thank God, I was starting to wonder if I was the only one who viewed those two both in the same light.

To be fair to Olberman, he never cried on camera from what i know...

If he did maybe he could have a shot of getting near Beck's ratings. All these guys are just clowns who put on shows for ratings. You think Beck doesn't know that? That he hasn't carefully cultivated every little thing he does to entertain his audience? You might hate him, I personally loathe him, but he's brilliant and now very, very rich because of it.

Doesn't that happen in America too? What I meant is that, sadly, in many societies having more than the rest, be it material riches or respect, is viewed as the ultimate goal in life.

Don't mind me, I almost don't know what I'm saying.

What, did you guys miss his last video a couple years ago when he encouraged people to convert to Islam because sub-prime mortgages wouldn't be allowed in a Muslim theocracy and personal savings are encouraged?

I'm not joking.

Sorry, it just looked like you were saying that was my point, which I would be horrified if anyone thought.
