Deleting lyrics from music

I don't think I've ever heard of this video in the "american" internet, but in Spain this video is some kind of a mini-meme:

it's ridiculous, and the garbled unnatural spanish they are talking makes it pretty funny... and my friends and I have decided we want to do a version of this video with the lyrics in english spoken by two of them who can't speak english. ¿The problem? We need the base music without lyrics. I've seen this made the other way around (getting the lyrics and deleting the music), but not this way. Do you have any advice on how to do this?

An answer to this thread would be pertinent to my interests (still waiting to do my parody of "Poker Face"..."Whiskey Dick"...)

What shameless women. What awful accents.

In most modern stereo music, the lyrics are mono and in the center. This means that adding the right and left channels together is usually enough to remove (most of) the lyrics. Won't work on mono music, though.
