Hancock for Capt. America? Hell no, Human Torch!

As someone who's only seen hunks of the Fantastic Four movie, I have to say I find this move incredibly confusing. Is the idea that they're planning on combining all of these other heroes into one big universe, cameos and whatnot, and the FF are just not being counted or what?

You guys almost had John Krasinski as the Cap, too. I'm with the AV Club on this one (whoodathunkit), Chris Evans was one of the things that actually stood out in those stupid fucking Fantastic Four movies (I really liked Doom, too, but ehh...for another time).

Human Torch was the best part of the FF movies, hair color aside Chris Evans really nailed the character.

Given that FF is getting the reboot treatment, it won't matter.

Honestly, I'm okay with the pick. And really, it was mostly Alba that dragged down the FF, as far as the acting went. Evans filled the role just fine and the guy from The Shield was perfect as The Thing.

Like I said, though, I'm okay with this pick. Jury's still out on the movie as a whole until at least a trailer.

The FF, X-men, and Spider-Man, and the first Hulk movies were produced by Sony pictures I believe. The newer movies, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, are all being produced by Marvel's own studio, meaning that they have the film rights to their characters, and can use any of the superheroes who's rights aren't currently being whored out to another company.

Sony's also going to be producing Deadpool, last I checked.

Yup, sony still owns the movie rights to the main X-cast and Magneto and Deadpool.
