Facebook friend suggestion thing and HOLY CRAP

Okay, so in the last week facebook has started to suggest I friend this girl that before I met my wife I kind of dated. She was freaky nuts and so obviously we didn't end up happening.

So why is she popping up on the "suggestions" thing? As far as I can tell we have ZERO mutual friends, ZERO related school info and work info... what the hell? It's kind of freaking me out because she got... like this close to stalker scary back in the day. :wtf:

Anyone know who this works on facebook? I really don't need Nutso McCreepy finding me and harassing me or my wife. And yes, I have everything about me set to private, I don't even think you can find me by searching for me by my name.

As far as I know it takes into account Mutual Friends, Networks, and Schools... and then for pages and stuff it looks for what all your friends are into.

So is either in your network for your city or has some of the same schools as you if you have no mutual friends.

Thats what I figured, and I have gone through her entire friends list and can only find, at best, VERY tenuous connections. It seems odd that out of ALL the people that might have gone to a school or lived in a city that I could be connected to it would have pulled her out and suggested her to me. It makes me wonder if you search for someone if it then suggests you to that person, you know, like she was searching for me and it said "oh maybe we should suggest her to him" or something. Bleh.

People can also let facebook grab their contacts from their email, so if you emaiedl someone who emailed her or someone she is friends with it's possible you got connected that way.

Whats the proplem? Just get back in touch, and go bang her on the side. Only good things await you on that path.

The only info I have ever had on Facebook is my name and location, and the first person it suggested to me was my future sister-in-law.
