Minor victory thread

I look alright in my glasses but I hate buying new ones, because it's always one pair in a hundred that looks even passable on me.

I admit disliking my glasses, but I keep them for two reasons:
1.) I dislike contact lenses even more, and
2.) I'm a bit afraid at the cost and long-term effects of laser eye surgery.

Love my glasses. Love my contacts. Would not ever in a million years go through with Lasik or laser vision correction because I can't stand the thought of surgery on my eye while I'm still awake and watching.

We have learned today to not run from officers in my precinct. We have learned ESPECIALLY to not run towards where 6 officers are clearing up from a previous call. We have also learned that not every officer has a dog with them, even if they say they will release one on you. :awesome:

I know once I get medical insurance I'll have to get checked and likely get glasses. I'm not sure anything will look right. Aviators are the only shades that don't look retarded on me.

Yesterday some friends and I tried to build a castle out of jello cubes. It didn't go very well, so we resolved to have a jello fight today with the left overs. We did that today.

It was slimy, and then sticky, and altogether messy, and ended up with four of us piled into a very very small shower.

A good day.

The friends were female, although maybe I should have emphasized that aspect of the win.

But now that just begs the question of why this isn't in the EPIC WIN thread?

I feel very proud right now. The friend I have been lending my Futurama seasons to because she had never really watched it before just posted on facebook:
"futuramaaaaaaaaaaaa ♥ what a convenient time to become an adoring fan :D"
along with:

I've turned her into a fan! YES! Another convert!
