A sad bit of introspection on her part really. I wonder if she recognises that half her problems are of her own making.

I do feel sorry for her though, especially as her own mother appears to be treating her as a non-entity at this point. One wonders just how much of her makeup is due to the pressures of her family - quite a bit by the sound of it.

I think she may have more friends than she realises, or could have if she just lets go and does things for herself instead of trying to live up to what's expected of her.

First real mature move would be for her to tell her mother to go fuck herself and leave. Kid might be more welcoming at this stage than she realises - maybe Whiskey too.

In my experience at her age, if only half of your problems are of your own making you're doing pretty well.

I don't really wonder too much about this, really. This isn't the first time she's pointed out that it was parental pressure that brought her to this point. After all that can of Banana Coke was on her desk in the last comic for a reason, it's a reminder of the acting career that her parents snuffed out when she was little.

Keep in mind that she just described her home as a 'gilded cage'. That suggests a very cut-off life, so I'm not surprised that she doesn't have very many friends. As for 'letting go', it seems pretty obvious that that is pretty much what she's about to do--eventually. As a rule 'letting go' is easier said than done.

Well apparently she has one friend who is presumably much closer to home, so that'd probably be a more sensible place to start... :p

Is it me, or did Quetz gain some weight? Might be of course just the ever so slightly change in the art over time, but especially her face seems rounder to me. Well, spending most of her time playing computer games, drinking banana coke, might do that to you. :p

It's not just you. She definitely put a few pounds.
