I've got something now that will allow you to tag & mention users like you do in Twitter. Clicking on them will take you to their user page.

Like earlier I made a joke about @Gusto:. Putting the "@" before a user name should have activated it.

Test it out & tell me what you think.

Ah! You have to put @username, then end it with a ; or it doesn't work.

Not as easy as I'd originally thought but still pretty cool.

What happens when someone writes about you, but doesn't use your handle/username? CanjunGal, for instance, is often CG or Seej. Does that mean that the mention won't be counted?

But is there a way to look at all the mentions for someone? it's really not that useful if it only takes you to their profile page, is it?

Yeah, it would be cooler if the mention linked to a particular post like it's done in some sites with comments (Lifehacker comes to mind).

You click on @The Mex: and it takes you to the post made by The Mex that you're answering to.

But I guess quoting takes care of that.

yeah it is a rick roll. As for why I grabbed the one I did. I just grabbed the first one that showed up on youtube
