so we have Lost ended, 24 cancelled (unknown if it will move to a new network or not), Heroes cancelled (yay) and a bunch more shows cancelled..

(Stimpy voice) "What shall I watch NOW?!?!? (/Stimpy)

If you're looking for sitcoms, the one that surprised me the most as far as being funny recently was Cougar Town. I can't believe how much I love that show.

If it's your sci-fi itch you're looking to scratch, Fringe is basically the best sci fi show on TV right now, IMO.

For procedural/crime solving type shows, there are tons of good ones still on the air. House, Castle, Bones, etc...

There's not a lot in the way of SciFi at the moment

Stargate Universe is almost over for the season.
Fringe is over the season (correct?)
Lost is gone
Doctor Who's season is almost over
V doesn't look like it will be renewed
Supernatural is done for the season (but renewed, yes!)
Smallville is done for the season (but renewed)
Legend of the Seeker got canceled (fantasy but we'll lump it into scifi category for the moment)
*sigh*

Heres hoping the Song of Ice and Fire series proves good on HBO

Eureke's coming back in June.

Glad to hear Supernatural was renewed, but I have NO IDEA where they are going after this year. They fought the Devil and won. You can't really go back to chasing vampires and ghosts after that.

Eureka and Warehouse 13 are both coming back in the summer as is Burn Notice.

V got renewed for another season

There's even going to be a cross-over episode(s) between Eureka and Warehouse 13. I'm really looking forward to the return of Eureka on July 9th.

I never got into Burn Notice, but Royal Pains is coming back and I love that one. Also, Psych is coming back July 14th.

Mad Men, True Blood, and Entourage will be back this summer.

Treme and Breaking Bad are still airing, and are still neck and neck for the best-show-on-television (TM)

I don't watch sports unless you pay me, and I have basic cable, not paid.

You people watch way too much TV. Simplify and stick to the basics like I do: Family Guy, Simpsons, South Park, and Futurama with a smidgen of Daily Show and Colbert Report.

Awww yeah dawg.

This is a hard time of year to watch TV. I just hope that the networks find a good summer replacement show.

At least Sports Center is pretty entertaining to watch for the Baseball recaps. Now Baseball is not very interesting to watch (the whole game) but I like the coverage from ESPN.

HOW can you sit there and complain about how soon you will have nothing to watch, when Futurama is returning in less than a month?!

FUTURAMA!
:zoid:

Also, the reason the shows start ending now is because its summer. Go outside.

No, I like watching good TV.
AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAAHAHHA Now that's an oxymoron if I ever heard one.
I'll give him Family Guy, but otherwise I would say you have solid taste.

We're in a golden age of TV in the last 10 years, and especially going forward. The Wire, Breaking Bad, The Shield, Mad Men, Lost, Sopranos, Arrested Development, Generation Kill, Treme, Band of Brothers, How I Met Your Mother, Community, Parks & Rec, 30 Rock, The Office, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Modern Family, Dexter...... I am probably leaving a lot out, but TV has come a real long way. There is a lot of amazing stuff on TV that isn't CSI, Law and Order, or Reality TV.

AMC is on basic cable, isn't it?

Also, Justified on FX is almost ending, but still technically on TV.
Just to clarify for people (since this is a thread about cancelled shows), it's ending for the season, not permanently. Also, it's great and you all should be watching it.

Stuff I watch that's still going:
-Doctor Who
-Big Bang Theory
-How I Met Your Mother
-Dexter
-Eureka!! (I forgot about that coming back! July 8th, you say?!)

Stuff I'd like to watch whenever I get around to it:
-Mad Men
-30 Rock
-True Blood

Stuff that I can't effing wait to start:
-WALKING goddamn DEAD

I'm sort of happy some of "mah stories" are coming to an end (Lost, 24, and Heroes). As my daughter gets older, her bed time will be later, which means I'll have less time to even watch TV, so I'm sort of phasing it out as much as possible for awhile. Plus, I've been such a TV addict for years it's nice to have a built in reason to cut back.

Walking Dead is the only comic series that I start reading but got to god damn depressed with it to continue reading. I mean, shit man!

That sad, I am going to tune into the TV show. Why? For some reason I like my TV shows to be depressing and morbid. Weird, huh?

FUCK YOU SIR, Law & Order is great tv.

Wait wait wait wait.... They're turning Walking Dead into a TV show? And I'm only finding out now? This is fantastic news!

Also, seriously, you guys. Futurama is coming back. No more complaining about the state of TV. Little less than 30 days now and counting.

It's also being headed up by Frank Darabont.

Given the ending for The Mist, I'd say Walking Dead is perfect for him.

Do we know if the show will be in color or black and white?
They haven't really commented on this, but it's likely to be in color to attract a larger audience. Honestly, I don't care... as long as they keep the focus on the characters and how the experience effects the and NOT on killing zombies 24/7, I'll be satisfied.
