Wait. So he was knighted...twice? The first story was December but the story SPS linked said it happened today. Wut?

Also that thread is like 5 months old.

That being said, this is pretty neat but I'm wondering if Patrick Stewart is nearing some kind of awesomeness plateau. Really, where does one go from here?

December's was just the announcement that he was GOING to be knighted. Today was the actual ceremony.

Edit: Damn, too slow.

Yeah honestly I thought he'd been knighted already too. Not from the December announcement, but because he's just that awesome. I mean, Ian Mckellan has one too.

And the only thing left for him after this is to actually become the captain of an intergalactic starship.

Lord Patrick Steward. It has a nice ring to it :)

Of course SIR Patrick Steward is cool too.

Yay for P-Stewart!

- Philosopher B., who bets the thread title will drive Calleja nuts when he sees it.

You know what's always bothered me (besides the thread title)? That the "Sir" title can only be used in front of your first name... he's Sir Patrick, never Sir Stewart. Sir Patrick Stewart. That's an honor only Lords get, using the title in fron of their last name. So weird.

Also, when they give an MBE to a foreigner, he gets to use the ", MBE" after his full name, but he can't use the "Sir".

Nobility titles have the weirdest rules.
