The walking dead AMC

Maybe it'll be good because the source material is excellent?

NAHHHHHH

FUCKIN' NERDS, AMIRITE?

I don't know anything about it other than it being a zombie thing. You can't deny there is a large contingent that creams for zombie-anything regardless of quality. I don't care about another zombie story, I'm just excited for a new AMC TV show.

Walking Dead is more about the people trying to survive each other than survive the zombies, really. It's pretty good reading. I get your point though, hopefully it's not another Land of the Daylight Savings of the Dead kind of thing.

Calling Walking Dead a "zombie thing" is like calling Breaking Bad some "drug show".

It's seriously the only thing redeeming about zombie stories in general and that's mostly because zombies are generally barely window dressing to the series.

I guess this confirms it will be in color.

That was probably a given from the beginning, but it would have been ballsy as hell if AMC shot it in black and white (would have been awesome too).

I love that they're shooting it in Atlanta too. A good sign that they will do it justice.

I don't know anything about it other than it being a cop thing. You can't deny there is a large contingent that creams for law/cop-anything regardless of quality. I don't care about another cop story, I'm just excited for a new HBO TV show.
And to think, with only minor adjustments you might have never watched The Wire.

But in that scenario I would have 100% watched the Wire like I'm 100% going to watch Walking Dead. In fact, that's the exact way I ended up watching The Wire, since I mostly hated Law and Order, NYPD Blue, et al.

Looks awesome so far. Walking Dead is the only comic I've read that was so good at setting up the atmosphere and the characters that after I while I couldn't keep reading it because it was too depressing.

I can't argue with the giant influx of zombie-related stuff in the last few years. Walking Dead, honestly, was one of the catalysts for the zombie influx. I'd say that, Shaun of the Dead and World War Z are the three main reasons. Maybe 28 Days Later, but that's not technically a zombie movie.

I'm gonna be honest, whenever someone says something about "technically a zombie movie" my eyes cross and I begin to hear a loud buzzing noise and my ears start leaking blood.

I'm gonna be honest, when you say something really smug about things you know nothing about, like the Walking Dead, my eyes and ears do the same thing.

I'm excited about the show! Should be good. Here's hoping it doesn't get screwed up somehow.

Fuck you!

The guy playing Glen looks just a little bit young, but otherwise things seem to be looking alright. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this.

Okay, so Dale looks spot on, and I couldn't be more excited for October. This series has got me so pumped, that I wish I could go so far ahead in my PVR that I could make a slot for this to record.

P.S. A Question for all the readers of TWD, who's art do you like better, Tony Moore's, or Charlie Adlard's? Personally I liked Tony's better, but after reading something like 65 issues with Charlie's, it's starting to grow on me. A bit.

Honestly, I think the art really isn't the most important part of the series for me, so I never really notice when things look off. I've always been more concerned with the story and it's been top quality.

Charlie Adlard's. I think I like Tony Moore overall as an artist, and his 6 issues of the Walking Dead was fantastic, but I think Charlie Adlard just sets a much better mood and tone for a horror book.

WOW! That looks amazing Troll! Thanks!

My one complaint, even though the main guy looks and I'm sure is gonna be great as Rick, was that Thomas Jane isn't playing him. After seeing them work together in The Mist I wanted nothing more than for this to be Janes starring vehicle. To bad he's doing Hung instead, which is ok, but it's not great.

Oooooh, Thomas Jane would have been perfect. I never thought of that before, but it would have been awesome.

Yeah, thats because he's just rocking amazing. I hate to see him wasted on Hung, which like I said, is good, but it's not great.
