Ah damn you Pronto for being so very clever! It only took them a whole friggin' year before anybody told Lance to "warm up Croissants", which apparently was the code word that triggered the message...

Apparently Pronto was unaware of the Great Croissant Famine of '98. Once plentiful throughout the land, Croissants are now a rare delicacy reserved for special occasions. :p

I suspect that it's not just the trigger phrase, but Lance had to know that there were only Icebreakers in the room when he delivered the message. In a house as crowded as that it's not that surprising that it took a year to happen.

It could also have been a timed thing ie if it's been one year and Kid says the word croissant then play it.

But at least we're not stuck waiting for them to find out Hammer is alive anymore. Time to get the old team back together!

Don't forget, they haven't been home for a year, it's been a year since Hammer 'died'....so thats at least another month or two on the Outcast before Risea, another few months flying back to Earth and possibly another month in debriefing before being sent home.
