You thought that China was polluting badly when it was creating less pollution per capital than americans. They are starting to become as wasteful and consuming as us and it will have a severely bad impact on the world. At that point in time nobody with half a brain or even a single functioning brain cell will be able to argue that humans are incapable of effecting the worlds environment on a global scale.

this is also the reason they plan to build 700km of subway in Beijing by 2015, somewere around 500 in Shanghai hell there will be a couple thousand km of subway built in China by 2015 and almost 20,000 km of high-speed trains plus an additional couple thousand more of conventional railway and more high alt lines running into napel and india.
