If we're getting Clayface, it's probably not going to be "giant ball of clay" Clayface. It's much more likely to be "can make his face look like anything" Clayface.

Basil Karlo, the original Clayface. A bit of a snoozer but he's basically an actor who wears a mask to commit crimes. The giant ball of clay would have probably ended up looking like Sandman from Spider-man 3. In Nolan I trust.
If we get Clayface, we'd most likely get Basil Karlo. Back in the Golden Age, he was an actor who disguised himself with a horrifying mask. For a film, they'd most likely make him much more of a master of disguise.
