This is is why police brutality sometimes has its appeal. If I saw some cops kicking the crap out of this monster I'd thank them for their service and give them some donuts. A perfect punishment would be to lock this punk in a room with the old man's relatives and let them beat him to within an inch of his life. Then they can record it on their phones and have a good laugh whilst doing so. Let's see how he likes it.

But he was forced to pay Kent 1000 quid how the hell any judge thought this was a reasonable application of justice is beyond me.

Are you missing the fact that a guy beat the hell out of a 91 year old man sentencing him to death in 3 months and his only punishment was having to pay 1000 pounds? Does the single payer health care system make that any better?

Somehow the fact that a guy can beat a man to death on his own doorstep and pay about the same as a person would pay for a reckless driving charge in Virginia isn't really salved by the fact that the man beaten to death doesn't leave his family with a massive health care bill.
