They keep in the guitar riffs and stay pretty true to the original song. Even though it's "clubbed up" quite a bit, it's really not as bad as I thought it would be. It's certainly not:

I like the Mary J Blige song and the Dwight Yoakam one.

May not be as good as the originals but still good.
 
I think people get too caught up in staying true to the original some times. The dolly, yoakam, and blige versions may not be your cup of tea, but it's exposing great music to some that wouldnt normally see it.
