Looking for space

I'm currently trying to find web space to host a draw-a-thon in the month of February. This board seems like it's good people, which is why i want to ask if this is okay without randomly conducting a rip-roaring alpha-drawsmic on these unsuspecting boards and then swiftly receiving proper banning.

To the Moderator/Head Honcho of HalForums:
Right now, it looks like it might just be me. Numbers could shoot to about 25 and not exceed 70 participants depending on how much awareness I can raise. Also, members here would be hailed as heroes for signing up. That said, that sure is a lot of traffic and posting for any one site. Not to mention, I will be recruiting the inventors of Internet-Retard-Forum members. I totally understand if you say "No Thanks". Man, i'm not doing a good job of selling this.

What is February drawing tiems?
A personal challenge to any artist with the brass to draw and post art for the entire month of February. A swell, supportive group of artists who will encourage and inspire one another during the month to push themselves to artistic limit and/or just providing motivation to do something we love to do. Also, it's the shortest month...

So. To upper management.

Bark once for 'yes'.
Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee.
Say 'No thanks' if you don't want this on your forum.
Reply quick because we only got two weeks to get this thing set up.

These are drawlings from yesterday and the day before yesterday. Gearing up for February, where ever it will be held this year.

I only moderate this sub-forum, so I'll give my impression, which bears absolutely no weight on the board-

I absolutely love the idea (but can't draw as well as a 10 year old with missing fingers), and figure Dave will love it as well. So long as everyone follows the rules of the forum, I see no problem with this and we would love the added traffic.

I really dig what you posted here and can't wait to see more!

I live 30 minutes north of Milwaukee.

One of the biggest rules we have here is to do pretty much what you want and have fun. I think this fits both criteria.

Knock yourself out with our blessing!

A) I meant all the shit that one has to deal with after the end of the year, ie. at the beginning of the following year.

B) I'm an accounting student, so I think in fiscal terms, and this is still Q4. ;)

Wait, do these need to be like, high quality drawings, or are our best efforts ok?

I think this sounds great. If I wasn't swamped with my last quarter of school I'd do it. I'll sure follow it though :)

up to you. The goal is really to just draw everyday. I think you will find inspiration from others to produce work you'll be proud of.

Ambitious!

I'm just gonna take tis opportunity to try and figure out my tablet.
Right on. Experimentation is something that is encouraged in the month of Feb. Trying your hand in new mediums, or perfecting one, it's all good.

I tried searching for a forum rules post and couldn't find one. what are the rules of the forum?

Updates:
I gathered the war council today. 90% sure we will use this forum as our primary stomping grounds. It's exciting to see interest from these boards! We are going to try and pull in the big gun artists soon.

We will start an Official Sign Up thread shortly with the general rules and stuff like that. For now, if you are interested, start building up your drawing chops!

Yesterday and Today have meshed together into one day, where i wake up, throw up, and say 'lets get to work', and pass out some time after.

Ah the rules. I guess they did move. I'll have to redo them. WELCOME NEW PEOPLE WITH MORE TALENT THAN ME!!

Hah, that is an awesome concept, fennewalde! I never would have imagined the Hulk's reaction to Katamari Damaci.

Hey everybody: some backstory, which Fennewalde can correct. We used to do this draw-every-day thing over at a different [art] forum, but it seems to have gone belly up. Don't know the story, but it would be cool to have those guys come over here for some art fun.

(Also, I humbly bow to Fennewalde's superior art. The man knows flow like you wouldn't believe. And organics. The picture grows. And speed. He probably drew that Hulk picture in like 5 minutes.)
