The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo: Like its source, trash. Unlike the source, couldn't even finish it.
Fair enough. The visuals are incredible, especially given the budget and studio size.I borrowed it from my local library for free, so maybe paying for a lousy story would have upset me. The story was pretty crap, but I guess the mood I was in just didn't care about story. I wanted pretty visuals, drama and exciting action, and the lack of cohesive purpose or narrative flow didn't bother me.
Yes, yes, this is exactly how I felt. I was underwhelmed the first time, but the second time it synched for me and I saw the great movie that it is.Once Upon A Time in the West (Which really was SO MUCH BETTER the second and third time than it was the first time)
Oh, that was me? Well then I'm glad too.I am glad you told me to watch it again.
Just one page ago in this very thread:Oh, that was me? Well then I'm glad too.
It's actually better the second time you watch it, but I wouldn't blame you for not bothering. I also feel The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly is a superior film. Once Upon a Time in the West just takes itself more seriously.
I remember when I saw that in theaters. For some reason, after seeing it all I could think of was that film. If I tried to talk, it would be an incoherent mixture of laughter and chatter of that film.Crank 2
I...but...it...what? What was...? I don't even...? And why was...? And he...? But...? But...? But..?
WHAT!?
Seriously, WHAT!? I've seen some messed up movies in my life but...Holy Hannah, this was messed up!
And yet...it was also awesome in that same vein. I...think there was a plot? Kinda, sorta? And...a Godzilla-like fight straight out of nowhere?
So yeah, to sum up....WHAT?!
I simply checked out and let the madness soak over me. It was like getting a peek in the Necronomicon and finding out some horrible truth, so your mind makes up for it by sending you around the bend. There were several times while watching it where I sobbed, screaming "THIS MOVIE IS BREAKING MY BRAIN!"
Which version? All Quiet on the Western Front, it was really, really, really good.
1930's version.Which version?
Me too, I just don't have the time to get out right nowI REALLY need to see Black Swan this week.
